On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

Thank you for watching guys, finally some love for all the Harrier fans out there. If you have ideas for future videos go ahead and let me know in the comment section and we might be able to make your idea into a video. Thanks again for watching, and I'll see you in the next one, Much Love.

The tomcat has an inherent advantage if you have a mid air collision and all parties eject successfully. Then it becomes a 2v1 ground fight XD

I think it technically counts as a gun kill if you beat the other guy to death with your gun pods.

A very long time ago, I worked at Hughes Aircraft in Tucson. Among one of the many systems we made (mostly missiles - AIM54C, Roland, Tow2, the *original* AMRAAM, Mavericks), we also made ARBS - the Angle Rate Bombing System that was installed in the Harrier. The only US unit to operate the Harrier was the USMC, and the mission was all about close air support for the Marines on the ground. These Marine pilots took their jobs *very* seriously.

Well, along about 1983, Hughes was having some production issues with ARBS, and it was seriously pissing off a Marine general. So, he had one of his pilots fly a Harrier to the Hughes parking lot for a motivational speech. He gave his little intro then popped open the front end of the Harrier to show a concrete block in place of ARBS. He pointedly mentioned the concrete block did not help him in his mission.

We had a little more zing after that.

The gun on the harrier cannot be shot while nozzles rolled because it uses bleed air from the engine to actuate the gun. While nozzles are rolled bleed air goes to the RCS shutters for hovering Mobility. There just isn’t enough bleed air from the engine to feed both the systems which is why you get one or the other. 👌🏼👌🏼 (VMA-231 mechanic)

I've always had a soft spot for the Harrier. Putting it up against a twin engine air superiority fighter is cruel, but I'm happy to see that it held its own for quite a long time and even scored a kill. Great job.

I'd love to see a fox-2 fight without waiting until the merge. Kinda curious as to how the dynamics of such a fight would work out.

I often forget how big of a bird the tomcat is yet how good it is in a dogfight.

The Harrier looks like those "dolphin" motor-boats/subs. Coolest thing ever! Great video as usual🤘

Hello GS, when I was a kid in 1980 my parents bought me the Encyclopedia of World Air Power. It was an illustrated hardcover book beautifully presented with an F-14 on the cover. I loved that book and wore out the binding. The color illustrations were amazing and I cherished that book. Your videos bring that book to life and I appreciate your content. Even though I’m old and never fulfilled my dream of becoming a pilot, I get to live the dream because of your channel. Keep them coming and be well. ✈️

I love the longer videos. I was definitely still watching at the beginning of round 3, and all the way until the end.

What a fight! It was interesting all the way, but that collision in the end was just a cherry on top!

I never thought about it much but the size difference between the Tomcat and the Harrier is crazy

Chanel is growing because you're just a very good flyer and video maker and it enjoyable to watch someone do something that is difficult extremely well. I think this is the type of thing I look for on youtube just fine skilled people doing difficult things in an entertaining way.

Have you considered doing A-10 vs a Harrier? Speaking from a place of ignorance, isn't the latter an air-to-ground fighter like the A-10? Would love to see how that dogfight would go!

16:00 "I know, everything is fine".
It was at this moment that I knew that this last round would have a good ending. It didn't disappoint! 😁

Hey GS, you're one of the best content creators I've found on YouTube. Always entertaining, always keeping it fresh, and you've taught me so much about DCS. Hope you're having a great day!

Can’t explain why but the Harrier is my all time favourite aircraft.

While I'd normally call something like that ending a draw, the fact you managed to eject makes me think it's a victory for you. Good stuff as always!
