On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

Great job flying the A-10. Can't say I'm impressed with the other pilot. Against a slower aircraft, he wasn't using the Harrier's assets all that well and felt like he was just struggling to fly at slower speeds (and kept getting outmaneuvered).

The beeping in the A-10 is supposedly to tell the pilot what kind of turn he's pulling.
A consistent tone meaning: you're pulling the stick for an optimal turn-rate; a fast beeping meaning: you're pulling AoA past the optimal turn-rate.

Please do a simulation of pushing into enemy territory and how you would deal with threats like random soldiers with MANPAD systems. Would love to see how you deal with those types of threats while also dealing with enemy planes.

It's also the Harrier's engine RPM that limits the gun firing - as the engine provides bleed air to make the guns work. So in the slow scissors he likely couldn't fire the guns when he got the nose on you.

I know of a hog driver who has actually trained BFM in this scenario. "It's like the two kids who can't fight but each have their own tricks going at it" lol

TMS Up in AA mode will set your Aim-9 seeker spinning around your boresight and it'll leash to any heat signature it crosses over. Makes it much more reliable at catching things that briefly cross your nose.

Good video! This kinda reminds me of a great scene in the Area 88 OVA where a strike package including an A-10 gets jumped by some Harrier-As. That hog was loaded with UGBs and was running for his life until backup arrived.

The spanish version of the Harrier (i know, is not the DCS one) has the option to carry Aim120s as well. So it is much more powerfull.
