Most of the pick-me-ups on store shelves are fattening, full of sugar and other addictive ingredients, and might even lead to obesity and illnesses. In the past, finding alternatives may have been difficult. We make it easier with “Sneaky Snacks,” which feature all the ways you can add Natural Delights dates — which contain more potassium than bananas,
are a great source of fiber, antioxidants and iron — and are plucked fresh from the date palms growing along the Colorado River.

Our host on this video is Cortney Lynn, a mommy blogger who takes us along as she shops for the ingredients for date cookies and then combines them into delicious-looking desserts.

Here’s the list of ingredients:
16 pitted fresh Medjool dates from Natural Delights
1 cup rolled oats,
½ cup almond butter
1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon chia seeds (which add magnesium and calcium, plus crunchies to the great taste)
After mixing together, pop them in the fridge. Then eat.
