having this condition was not fun, I’m very thankful to have gotten an ablation to fix it.

Just had an hour and a half of my heart beat going from 80 to 120 to 180 that lasted over 1.5hours I felt so weak numb electrified so I put my oximeter on, my heart felt like coming out of my chest then my oxygen went down to 70 which made faint not knowing how low my oxygen went and my BPM high.. I was just browsing fashion websites... I'm still trying to recover how exhausted I am it happpeens often these days but hospitals don't want to see me..I have many medical conditions HYDROCEPHALUS, epilepsy, general dystonia that is too severe I have hypoxia as a result of restricted airways due to spasticity..they suspect MiTo disease but they wouldn't even want to test it or treat what conditions they already confirmed 😢😢

I have Svt, have my whole life… but I could never get it to do it on a heart monitor.. the ones in the 80s/90s were so clunky… I finally got a sports watch with ECG and recorded and episode and emailed it to my doc… he was like wait whattt!? And I was like “ya!!” But he still wouldn’t use my sports watch data as fact so I monitored up again and actually forced it to do it (at my age I know the triggers) it was not fun making it do it and I cried after… but I got my diagnosis and am getting the ablation done soon ❤

@Top Doctors UK So if I was born with this supposed "additional pathway", then why did I only start going into episodes of SVT when I turned 49?

Try lying flat on the floor and put your legs 45 degrees up! It helps!

what if the SVT is followed by an increase of troponin?

I was diagnosed with PSVT about 2yrs ago. It's annoying and down right scary sometimes. It's often woke me up at 3am with a BPM of 160+ Luckily, I found a way to counter it and it's worked every time so far. Cold water & chest compressions only worked 2-3 times.

I have had palpitations and am on Beta Blockers for this (Propranolol) but SVT is very
different and when my heart goes into Arythmia it is very frightening I have the feeling
that my heart is not beating right, and is very frightening, especially when it comes on
at night. The doctor at Hospital gave me Metaprolol which quetened things down. I
had a Bang in the chest, followed by a fast heart rate, but I could tell it was not beating
right. I have had a few really "Stressful Years" with my Mother, looking after her, then
she was admitted to a "Nursing Home" But they put her on a "Pureed Diet" and she
just "Wasted Away" and finally "Passed Away" on March 22 of this year. Damn them,
I wished she had stayed at Home, where she was on regular food. She began to lose
her speech in the end, and her "Dying Wish" was to come "Home" I have since had
a few "Episodes" during the night which were very scary.

Can diet effect the behaviour of the heart rate? I have a daughter 20 yrs and I worry about the way she eats - like she loves chocolate, gravy, cheese and doesn’t eat a healthy variety of good food at all - I’m worried about her
