What is an arrhythmia? An arrhythmia is any disturbance in the rate, rhythm, site of origin or conduction of the cardiac electrical impulse. Arrhythmias can be classified based on their origin into supraventricular arrhythmias, which have a narrow QRS complex; or ventricular arrhythmias, which have a wide QRS complex.
