Many creators start making videos for YouTube because they have a dream of some sort of what their channel could become. But too often the creator quits because they realize how difficult growing a YouTube channel can be, often right before their channel really starts to grow. For those of you who feel like you're ready to quit on your YouTube goals and dreams, here's some advice and encouragement that will give you a guide to how you can never give up nor quit on your YouTube dreams.

The best advice I can give is: don't make a video with your viewers in mind. Make it for yourself and SHARE IT with your viewers.

The most important thing on Youtube is YOU.
Because its your platform.
So upload what you want, do it right.. And YOU will succeed.

I will say what I have heard many YouTubers say.
"If I can reach out to one guy, it's absolutely worth it, it was worth all the work and effort".
Now if only I had that one guy to reach lol.

Being a YouTuber is like an "Emotional" roller coaster. I've been through all of these stages and now, I'm like, whatever happens, happens. If you like me, Great! If you don't, Bye! YouTube consumes you and your mind and all you think about is, Am I doing a great job and do my viewers like me and my content? Then, you have to build thick skin, because, people come at you sideways. On top of that, YouTube, itself, makes you feel like, they are picking on you, saying, you are not good enough, according, to your analytics. They want you to do all this crap, just to have a great channel and if you don't, they will not promote your channel, as much as, others. It's a constant battle, I am not willing to deal with, anymore. However, I will not quit. I'm going back to the basics. Post the best videos, possible and forget the rest, especially, Anayltics. I'm at the "Acceptance" stage.

My tip: GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. Go out and network at places that fit your target audience (or even if it doesn't) talk to people. Don't force your cards or anything on people, but network and have fun. You never know who you are going to meet.

For me, it's about persistence and evaluation. Look at what is working, what's not working, what your viewers value and what your "special sauce" is. Being successful on Youtube is a lot of work, but if you put in the directed effort, good things can happen.

I love this! not only youtube but life itself is a process of failing and learning from past mistakes. What I see so often as a Youtube gamer atleast is people aren't changing anything about their content at all and are expecting to grow. a quote from Stephen R Covey "if you keep doing what your doing then you will keep getting what u get" it's simple but very aweseome. Tim makes a great point about exploring and trying new things. YouTube isn't for everyone but almost all the time there is something you can work on whether it's your commentary, your thumbnails, editing, video length, tags, sharing whatever it may be. When I started working on myself and what I could change about videos or maybe techniques I was able to start growing and understand how certain things work I went from about 100 subs after a year to 6000 in half the time. I promise this stuff works ^_^

It's true, we all (probably) been there. I wanted to quit when i had 200 subs and then went to 120 in like 20 days, because i didn't upload. So i started to watch videos like this, and more technical ones about tags, descriptions, titles and thumbnails. I don't even make any money on my videos, but I got to 27k subs and I think i am no.1 on my niche. It's hard, that's why you don't see the creators who quit, you only see the ones that push. It works. (there, I shared my version - so I checked No. 4 - Teach others) :)

Tim, do video interviews (short clips) of successful YouTubers where you ask them how they were able to push through The Dip.

It was really hard time when I was in the ditch! Like you said it Tim. When you dream about something and can't stop thinking about it even when you should focus on other things then you will do it! NEVER GIVE UP ;)

Few great things are attained without tremendous effort and dedication. I'm in it for the long run. My channel is new, but I love what I'm doing, and I'm much less depressed being able to express myself and create. Plus, I strongly believe in promoting autism acceptance and education. Making videos on Youtube is a perfect outlet for me, and I can do it from home, which is great because I have crippling anxiety, and I don't leave the house more than a couple times per month.

Youtube has been perfect for me, but if you're not all in. if you're not completely dedicated to your channel, then it's probably going to be much tougher to stick with.

I'm experiencing that dip right now because it seems like no matter how many views I get I don't get a lot of subscribers. Also here lately my newer videos have just been flops in terms of views so I'm trying to push through but it's tough because it is discouraging.

Makes so much sense. Thank you so much for being honest and open about this journey. So many youtubers aren't this honest and open and if they are - they aren't that articulate! thank you so much.

I've been stuck in 77 subs and i was starting to get lazy with uploading and this definitely helped! The grind continues today! 👊
