Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is a high-definition remaster of the role-playing video games Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2, originally developed by Square (now Square Enix) on the PlayStation 2 in the early 2000s. It also features story content previously only found in the International versions, and a new audio drama set a year after the events of X-2. The collection saw graphical and musical revisions and is based on the international versions of both games, making certain content accessible to players outside of Japan for the first time.

The Chinese studio Virtuos handled large parts of its development, while Square Enix assisted the process and published the collection. It was released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in Japan in December 2013 and worldwide in March 2014, for the PlayStation 4 in May 2015, for Microsoft Windows in May 2016, and will be released for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in April 2019. The collection sold favorably, and received positive reviews. Many critics praised the graphical upgrade and the chance to play through the games on the new platforms. The collection did receive criticism for a few minor upgrade faults and uneven quality between the two, while some of the collection's added content drew mixed opinions.

SquareEnix knows diehard fan nostalgia makes $50 look like $5.

The first video game i can say i truly loved. Playing as a boy with my friends trying to figure out how to beat all the bosses & minigames will always hold a special place in my heart. Feels like yesterday but its already been what 16-17 years since it came out? Crazy how time flies. Experience this game how ever you have to, it is definitely worth it.

Haven’t started the video yet. Just want to say that I have played all the FF games (except for the MMO’s) but not FFX until now. Chose to get it on the Switch. I don’t regret it. ❤️

I'm glad you defended X-2. It's super underrated and doesn't deserve the hate it gets.

I agree, X-2 really isn't bad, FFX is like a reference point for ALL others, and is probably the best installment considering it's literally on every modern console/platform. Kinda hard to compare any FF to FFX

Nearing 60 hours for my FF7 playthrough. I'm excited for this and afraid of how many hours I'm going to sink into my second Final fantasy game!

The fact that we are getting so many games from this series on Switch will never stop making me happy. Now give us FF8!! :P Thanks for watching and liking this video.

I was born in 86 so I've played from thr first days on Nintendo. I remember playing FF6 and thinking the opera scene was the best graphics I had ever seen. 😅 We've come a long way.

For the last time comment section: the bad laugh scene was 100% intentional. It's just as bad in the original japanese version and the whole point of the scene was to fake being happy(since according to Yuna, that's what summoners do). Tidus(james arnold taylor) himself even talked about it on his youtube channel.

Now can people please stop saying FFX's voice acting was bad? Or at least show a different example than that laugh scene? Thank you.

Unpopular opinion:
As a person who nearly played all the final fantasy titles, the Final Fantasy 13 Trilogy is one of my favorite FF games in the series. Hoping that those games get a port to the Switch in the future.

Wish they made a Chrono Cross remaster.

$50, - is way too much since the ps4 version is only $20, -. Damn those switch taxes.

FFX was the only Final Fantasy I've played. I remember it very well on the PS2 and probably played through it 4 or 5 times until the remaster came out. I still play with the old soundtrack on the PS4. It's a freakin gem. I didn't know it was coming to the Switch so I'll have to check it out.

As long as they have Tidus' laugh, even if it's out of sync, that's good enough for me.
HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

I went ahead and imported the Asian version from Play-Asia.

It has English Voice & Text options, but most importantly the reason I got it, both X & X-2 are on a single cartridge.

It was an extra 10 bucks than it would've been if I bought the American version, but in the American version X is only on the Cartridge and X-2 is a download.

The only digital games I buy are the ones that are digital exclusive. I always go physical when I have the chance.

I dont feel like $25 for each game is a steal when last years God of War is already only $30, and FFX is almost 20...
that being said I will gladly pay $50 to finally have FFXII on Switch so what do I know

I refuse to pay $60 CAD for this when regular price on PS4 is $30. Doesn’t give me warm feelings when I get ripped off!
