when we were child we used to eat a lot of junk food, the other days eat maybe nothing. and didnt label ourselves as binge-eaters etc. they were all intuitively. ‘eating a lot´ was part of our lives just like running for hours while we were playing (and not labeling it as ‘exercising’). life was bigger than what we ate

This sounds like me. I noticed it comes hand in hand with procrastination and indeed pain of foreshadowing (because I feel guilty not doing the task I dislike).
It’s bizarre.
That being said, I think it comes from childhood. My mom always gave me candy when I was doing my math homework. So it is partially self soothing, part self numbing from pain. And it feels so good until I have belly ache from too much snacks. Then I feel worse (of course) than before.

Amazing. Before seeing this video, I felt so guilty for being bored and was considering ordering food to numb the uncomfortable feelings running through my mind. This was exactly what I needed to take a minute to sit with my feelings and soothe my mind. You are absolutely amazing, and from all the videos I've watched and books I've read on this topic, your content has been the most helpful for me. Thank you for everything you do.

I love the way you handle this subject, Sarah. I feel connected to you. True acceptance of our living experience & feeling it, in the moment, is really Key. I'm still learning. Sometimes, I embrace boredom. Sometimes, I resist and suffer more. I try to feel the suffer of not accepting, my mind is in WTF mode 😃. Thanks you for going beyond food and bingeing, it's nurrishing for the soul 💜

You are amazing! Thank you for this. I realised that I was running away from myself by overating. It's like suppressing this person who has great desire and I don't want to deal with them. So I avoid feeling bored because I might see them and they'll come out.

I find that for the most part I only binge when I’ve been unproductive or have been procrastinating for the entire day

I love this video. I’m going to try it. I do not stop the distractions except when I’m sleeping and sometimes when I’m riding in the car with my husband. He likes quiet and makes very good use of it by doing exactly what you explained. Now I have a reason to try it. I snack now when I’m bored but used to have full out binges. At least I’ve made progress but I really want to stop snacking because I’m not hungry! I’m bored or anxious. I think choosing to be bored could work. I’ll let ya know how it goes. 💕

I'm liking the part of feeling it in the body. Where is it and what does that feel like. A very different way to connect with boredom. Thank you

Need this video. We’ve gone back to the office and I’m basically tied to my desk and not too happy and eat constantly. Sometimes I end up feeling sick and then don’t enjoy my dinner at home. 😕

I appreciate this video a lot! The time I snack the most when I’m not hungry is when I’m doing it multitasking with hobbies I enjoy 😂

Amazing! Thank you so much for this video. I have noticed that I binge when I'm bored, because I don't choose it and I need to escape. I'll start training to be bored, less stimutilated, just being

You describe things very well, I wish I could monitor the chemicals in my brain when I'm in this frustrated, agitated, restless, anxious state. I am a layman, but I strongly suspect there will be a lot of cortisol flowing. If that is the case, how can I neutralise it?
