Setters have been bred for the show ring for so many years now that they don't really make a good hunter anymore. Springers are awesome bird dogs.

I've owned beagles, blue ticks, walkers, and red bone, and in my opinion, the best out of these breeds was the red bone. All he wanted to do was hunt. He wasn't a very social dog towards humans, and all he was worried about was when the next hunt was. 2nd was my half blue tick, walker, and she was also a great hunter, and she had a yodel that would make you laugh, and she was much more social towards human interaction

No German wired hair pointer? No German long-haired pointer or even shorthaired pointer? Or English pointer? But weimaraner? Clearly shows you have no idea about hunting dogs. No one with the right mind uses weimaraner anymore for hunting... They are pretty to look at, but no use for hunting. And beagle as the number one... That's ridiculous...
