German Shorthairs can do anything but they are limited by their coat, so I'd put Tollers and Drahthaars above them on the list.

WTH?! The POODLE & the NEWFOUNDLAND are the best duck hunters! Poodles can find them in tall grass & take to water like, well, ducks ... Newfs have an extra soft bite so they won't break bones/tear into the flesh like other "hunting" breeds, plus their mouths are made so they can both hold the bird & swim at the same time with no troubles breathing . Plus they are breed to swim for long distances/deep water so they are great for those deeper lakes!

CBR is the only waterfowl dog with an american pedigree. One hell of a fine dog and they look like little bears as puppies.

I have had all 3 of the top threes multiple times goldens are the laziest dogs ever labs are hyper af until you go hunting and Chesapeake’s are all around the best hunting dog you could ever have if you want to deal with a. Stubborn dog
