Developed to "hunt" wild boar, mountain lions and jaguars. It's a dog that tracks both with its nose on the ground, and it air scents, which means you can't escape this dog by jumping in a river. I think hunting dogs need to be trained first. An American friend once told me he brough his pit out hunting. It ran off and never came back. Ended up he and his hunting buddies went around looking for his dog instead of hunting.
