Your channel and the people at waveform have been a huge part of my success in being able to work from home. I’ve been thru modems and problems but with your videos always seem to get it going again. T-Mobile home internet and Verizon home internet customer here with a 4x4 mimo setup outside. Ty Nater tater !

Thanks for doing this. Exactly what I was looking to do. Just bought $400 ext antenna and needed to know how to connect. Thanks!

Exactly what I've been looking for. I have an excellent signal outside but only 1 bar inside this steel home. Thank you NT!

May I get a list of supplies and where you got them from???

Word of advice. Use a flexible 2" putty knife to get in those thin spaces of the modem housing and unsnap the tabs. Works great.

Solid videos on installation and testing, but I have very odd results. Based on the Waveform instructions I went with 1/3, & 4/5 and saw my speeds go from about 175/4 up/down with the unit just on its own sitting in a window to 40/8 connected to my 4x4 panels pointed toward the nearest Verizon tower. Uploads improved, but downloads went down massively. Very strange. Signal strength didn't change significantly, still at about -90 LTE, -110 5G. Per your sheet outlining which connectors served which bandwidth frequencies I swapped 4 for 6, but that didn't alter my speeds or signal strength in any meaningful way. What's really odd is I have been with T-Mobile for about 2 years, and going from the base unit to the antennae was night and day. T-Mobile on its own was about 18/3, with the 4x4 hookup it is routinely at 150/15 and often over 200/20.

Is it possible to get shell access on it and maybe modify stuff.
Would they work on european telecoms?

I have the newest model through Total (same network as Verizon) and so instead of opening it up I'm going to use several antennas hooked to a power amplifier for a stronger signal that will be of course hooked to an external antenna for a stronger signal, I wish I had a schematic of it, does anyone know where I can find one?
Please post a link I will be most grateful 🙏

I am looking for a video how to take apart the ASK-NCQ1338E, I want to solder a power cable to this so that it is more stable in a mobile environment. Can you point me to a video on how to do that?

Can I connect this to a unused TV antenna on the roof with adapters of my house for better reception ?

Hey Nate, do glad you did this video and can't wait to see the testing. Hey, when you got the new line of service, did you discontinue the other line with the ASK? I don't need two lines. Thanks

Nate- have had great success over the past several months using t mobile home internet with a 2x2. Thanks for the videos! My house gets nothing inside or outside without external antennas on all 3 carriers. Since Verizon signal is stronger and has more capacity, I decided to order one while it was available.
I only get lte in my market so I’m unsure which device will be sent (could be original model with lte only). It seems my only hope is for the new 5g gateway, correct?

I am receiving good enough Verizon signal using the 2x2 for bands 5 and 13. High band is not needed. Should I focus on antenna ports 1 and 2? Would I see any benefit at all by upgrading to a 4x4? I’m unsure if the modem itself would carrier aggregate bands 5 and 13.

As a last ditch effort is there a way to use the sim in a different modem with external connectors (assuming it’s not the new model)?

Let me know your thoughts. I’m hoping this finally fixed our issues since external antennas at our location are non negotiable.

I assume this is broadcom based? Or no? ASUS has ASKEY manufacturer Qualcomm stuff, most ASUS Broadcom routers are Arcadyan.

When you get one of these, do you have to return it to Verizon once you cancel the service?

Is it possible to do this on the end-cr200a?

Hi, please share how yours does with an external antenna, I am planning on doing this myself in the coming weeks, and if you share it I'd like to see if its worth my time or not!

Hi Nate, Lie you channel on the verizon gateway. I notice in one of your vidoes that that you connected the 4x4 mimo panel antenna.
You had the following antenna setup:
J1 to 1
J3 to 4
J4 t0 1
J5 to 3
I see that j1 and J3 are both going to going to the same port. would you be able to correct this?
Thnak you,
Ken
