A home networking nerd's look at Verizon 5G home

I take a look a the Verizon 5G home internet, and many of the technical parts of the service. I look at functions such as IP allocation, the web interface, speeds, using the device in multiple locations, and positioning to the tower.

Thank you for your informative videos. I just set up a Verizon 5G Home Internet Gateway and trying to do the Port Forwarding for my LTS Security Camera System and IP Cameras. I accessed the Verizon 5G Gateway and went into Advance Settings where Port Forwarding was listed. I added my LTS DVR iPv4 address and added Port 80, Port 8000, and Port 8554. Unfortunately it didn't work. Any suggestions?

Also I was thinking of adding a router to the Gateway thinking I could plug the LTS Security Camera System into the router and then set up the Port Forwarding on the router rather than the gateway. Interested in your thoughts on this also.

How will this work if I have over 15 devices that are connected to wifi? Multiple smart tvs and game consoles. 4 ring camera devices? Currently have Cox and have no issues.

The gateway supports ip passthrough/ bridge mode so I would use that instead of dmz for using one's own router and other equipment. Basically just turns it into a box that connects to Verizon and does nothing else

Hello, I want to do port forwarding for my PS5 on this device. Im not sure where to get the information for the original port? I have the ports I want to forward to. Any suggestions?

Good review! I have a question that I can't find the answer too. I live in the countryside and Verizon's website says my address isn't within service. There is however a 5g tower just two miles from me my phone gets 5g going down the driveway. Is there a way to get the system and just use it without being technically "within service"?

C'mon man, a couple cables lol that's a lot of digging and construction in many case to bring fiber to your home.
