I would kill just to sit down for a conversation with you. The sheer brilliance you put on display for us is mind blowing. You will leave your mark in history my friend. I will absolutely be purchasing the book and some other goodies soon. The world truly needs more people like you. But until then, you are it. And I’m grateful for your work.

A blessing and a curse of human being is thoughts and ability to observe and question things. We question meaning of life and our purpose, but in reality it might mean nothing neither grand and perplexing or small and worthless.

"I often felt a sort of envy of human beings, of that thing they call ‘spirit’. Human beings have created a million explanations of the meaning of life - in art, in poetry, and mathematical formulas. Certainly human beings must be the key to the meaning of existence."

Alan Watts has a 3 hour lecture called "The Joker". I remember listening to the whole thing and being able to derive the meaning of life (in my eyes but I thinks its pretty solid overall). I would recommend everyone to go and listen to the full 3 hour lecture. It changed my life but...

tl:dr
There is no set purpose to life for it will end eventually. Life only exists to exist. However, that doesn't mean that there isn't any meaning to life. There is no single defined meaning of life. It can be whatever one wants it to be. So, in my opinion, the meaning of one's life might as well be self assigned as something that person loves. And that's the true answer to what the meaning of life is: love.

But seriously, I still highly recommend listening to that lecture. Changed my whole outlook on life when I was in some dark times. 🤙

This channel has helped me so much, specially when I was dealing with very bad depression I always looked back at this channel and found meaning and motivation onto certain things. Truly amazing.

Ironically, most of the time we are caged within the boundaries that other people set for us. We are forced to keep up and endure what the society tell us to do even when it doesn't align with our dreams. And thus, I am afraid when all of the noise consume me and I cannot say that the reason I stayed alive is for the things that I truly care/love anymore.

While it becomes increasingly difficult for me to find novelty or new insight in anything I read or watch or experience in general, including these videos, I still really like and appreciate them. As someone who likes to think about perspectives a lot, I love how this channel often plays with them. It provides a sort of meta-lens, for lack of a better term, through which we can view and think about these topics. And if anything it can be a nice reminder of things.

Anyway, great video as always.

No matter how many things I watch or read, though, I feel like I'd never find any satisfying answers. And even looking within or meditating or whatever ultimately doesn't really seem to get me anywhere. It's a dead end, the conclusion I usually come to being that all these thoughts and concepts are just inherently pointless and made-up. And that we or our consciousness have created problems where there are none. I just can't really get past that all-encompassing nihilism.

Of course there are different ways to deal with people might propose, like buddhism, stoicism, mindfulness, optimistic nihilism, absurdism, suicide or just not thinking about it and just living your life as usual. But no matter what, even if I might be fine just going about my life for a while not thinking about it too much, or trying to just live in the present, there's always a sense of directionlessness and hopelessness. Perhaps it's just psychological, like depression or anxiety. I've definitely used nihilism a lot as a coping method.

But yeah, such is the human condition.

I'll leave it at that for now, thanks for everything.
And I'm definitely interested in that book, might have to pick it up at some point.

The meaning of life through my eyes is to doing what you love, helping others in need, standing up for what's right and asking the right questions!

I think the meaning of life is to enjoy the limitless boundaries of experience that this universe can concocted for us. We are entities that though we feel useless, we are a part of a bigger system and more larger picture that we are simply too small to observe. But we have come to understand that picture, through exploratory telescopes of deep space, we see that our existence and cause of it is happening on a constant basis, and it will come to show us its reasoning once it is our individual time to understand. It confuses me that we fear the unknown, when the unknown is what created the beauty we experience everyday. I too feel that fear and uncertainty, but I always like to remember that I am not here to stress about the everyday activities of life, but to go with it as if I am dancing with the universe to grasp the control that it seems to have on me.

Dude, you should be an author. The way you create these little worlds and philosophical situations to make us question reality and existence is nothing short of amazing! Awesome video!
