04:26 The power cable should run along the wall to the right side of the sofa, not down from the centre of the TV console. Then use a PVC half round floor casing to cover it for better safety

Tks for sharing nic. Definitely beneficial for most of us who's doing renovations in the future.

I’m nervous about my PowerPoints too! In my head I think I’ve got it roughly enough but I guess it’s something you’ll never know until you’ve lived in the place for awhile.

Also, your track lights for the wardrobe - might not be a good idea to shift it further away and shine 45 degrees. You may cast your own shadow on your clothes when you’re standing in front of the wardrobe picking clothes (with the light behind you basically). Maybe a different kind of light is needed here🤔

I think the white marks on the black walls are ok! It ties in with the whole wabi sabi mentality of the cracks in your cement screen floor! Love it!

Thanks for the insightful and frank analysis of your housing regrets but that said, I think the key takeaway would be living in a home that you are proud of. I’ve learnt a lot too, especially since I too wanted a full glass bathroom, but your experience gave me some pause too.

If this is your first house, it’s natural to be stepping on bombs that make u regret. I stayed in my current place for more than 16yrs and recently just did some refresh reno. Well i learned from my first reno mistakes and now things are better for me after the refresh. Anyways for your grey wall, it’s common to have some white marks which this could caused by the humidity. I used to have a full black wall and yes i have that problem too and the white marks are even more obvious as my is a pure black wall. You just have to keep wiping once a while and live with it, i can say.

Thanks for sharing! Like how your home feels overall, it gives the condo kind of luxurious feel and it looks so spacious 😍
Btw for 13:45, I think changing the direction of door swing may be able to solve the problem. Shower door shouldn't swing inwards too for safety reason, as we would want to have access to the person inside the cubicle should they be need help (fall/ faint etc * touch wood)

Very informative 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Enjoy your new home~ Did you pay any consultation for your ID? I think they should have advised better. Better to do rectifications now as down the road, will feel lazy to do..

Is ok, your house is great as long is your informed decisions; renovation very hard to cover 100% :)

Hey Nic, thank you for sharing the pains post-renovation! Can I check, for most of these issues, were they anticipated by the ID? And if there was time to discuss and perhaps visualise how things might turn out? Thank you!

Have the same problem of no socket at sofa area (no walls nearby)
- some say not allowed to lay wire below floor
- also thought of just keeping it simple and cover it with the rug, but some say it could be a fire hazard

Nic, I was thinking u can do another shoes cabinet next to the existing shoes cabinet, this will make your kitchen to be of a longer L. But need to sacrifice the bench area when u sit down to wear shoes. Your helmets in your wardrobe. Maybe just use portable LED stripes to paste on it? I get u, heart pain to drill on it. As for the extra power points, so can do one, but likely cost is higher. So maybe consolidate everything and request electrician to do. One time pain for money and dirty. U will stay there for at least 5 years...

Thanks for the great content! Would it be possible to share your initial budget and how much more % exceeded at the end of the reno?

Your neighbour here! Really loving your place and thanks for documenting!
Wanna ask how your floating vanity was mounted.

Hi Nic, i would like to ask where did you purchase the small cage stool storage where you keep your boots from ? And if you have any regret having glass doors at both sides of your wardrobe ?

Thanks for the sharing! May I asked if your floor is using cement screed with epoxy? If so, any regrets? Is it true that it gets sticky and slippery overtime?

Hi Nic, wondering if you can share with me the laminate you used for your shoe cabinet/kitchen divider... I've been looking for a nice shade of green and seeing your video I think it would be perfect for my new home!

Thanks so much for sharing! Any regret getting the brick wall? We're planning to get that too and unsure if it's gonna be a nightmare to keep clean.

Hi! May I know if you had experienced any water stain issues with your Kompac plus counter top? Eg hard to get rid of watermarks
