Due of my diseases I couldn't even start my business yet. 😢 I'm still hoping to get better and finally start doing art full time and selling it.

I am in the process of closing my fabric shop now, after 7 years, I should have quit at least a year earlier I see now. The hardest thing was making the decision, it took me more than a year. But once made it felt really good and I couldn't get it over soon enough

I have quit several professional jobs, but that is because their system said I had perfect performance, and they still tried to give me a pay cut. Several months later they attempt to give me a big raise to return, but they still won't put it in writing and they didn't pay me anything that wasn't in writing in the past, saying "What you gonna do about it, you didn't get it in writing, and don't take it personally it's just business, " as they refuse to pay me. Working for other people is just as much a hassle as running your own business, we have to adapt and be creative about profits.

My sales are 40% of all the past years. People are just not spending money like they usually do. From 2016-2020 my average sale was $50-150. Now the average sale is $10. That means posting 3-5 times the amount of listings to make the same amount and there's only 24 hours in a day. I don't know what the answer is, but the economy for jewelry sales is really struggling right now.

I have revisited this video a few times now. I have been thinking a lot about quitting, giving up, letting go, and hope. There's probably something to be said for the first 3 being related and the last one being related but different.

The key points of normalizing judgment free quitting and addressing fear over quitting were very valuable.

I think of quitting my current business but feel like I have to see it through.

My problem is I have multiple art passions and I've been putting aside one for a couple of months now (so not exactly quitting) and hyper focusing on the other but I hope one day I'll equalize time into both of them and sell both as products!

Do you think the market is still strong for expensive products as people with money are not feeling the strain?
