Yeah as somebody who is very new to knife making and struggling a lot right now, your videos are not too long. Too many videos and "tutorials" dont explain the little nuances that are actually very important. I appreciate your time and effort in making these videos. Thank you.

My problem is im a perfectionist so all the little imperfections really make me mad lol, which makes it suck when I dont have the mastery level to actually make things perfect, but videos like yours actually help a tremendous amount.

An old pipe maker passed on 1n 1950, his widow gave us some of his unfinished pipe bowls and the most valuable thing I ever got. A huge chunk of carnauba wax. He used rouge to polish and then the carnauba to finish. I still have 90 percent of that big bar of wax. Thank you for the other steps. I just ordered a number of woods for knife scales. I have no belt sanders just an orbital, a mouse type on the vibratory tool, and all sorts of round paper cylinders for drills and a Moto Tool. And of course there is always the good old Armstrong method.

First, thanks for the description of how you progress from square wood to a finished grip. I wish I had your tool assortment but I'll get by. I've made my own pistol grips for years but this is my first knife and I appreciate your expertise. Also, thanks for the classical guitar background music instead of head banging noise .

I gotta tell ya Matt, I enjoy your videos and your process. Your comment about your dust collector hit home. It's Hillbilly but it works pretty good. Your from Michigan man, it should be hillbilly. Us Michiganders know what it takes.

I forged my first blades today and they didn't turn out so good. I didn't waste my time putting handles on them and I was really looking forward to doing it. Now I know why people buy power hammers my arms feel like jello LOL. I'll have to save this video until I try again. Thanks for the video you do great work and happy New year
