Helldivers 2 | Planet Liberation Guide Update! | XP does NOT Matter! - I was Proven Wrong!

Welcome back, fellow Helldivers! In this latest update video, RealAsianRobot revisits a critical topic: Planet Liberation. After our previous discussion on the supposed impact of XP on Liberation, it's time to set the record straight. Through engaging discussions with our dedicated community and insightful comments, we've uncovered a hidden truth about squad impact.

Contrary to previous beliefs, XP earned during missions doesn't influence the overall Liberation amount. Instead, it's all about understanding the dynamic of difficulty levels and a crucial hidden factor: the Impact Multiplier. This elusive multiplier adjusts inversely to the player population, meaning the more players in action, the lower the squad's impact on Liberation.

This revelation reshapes our strategy. It reaffirms the effectiveness of speed-running missions, particularly during peak player times. When the player count dwindles, squads wield greater influence on Liberation.

Join us as we delve deep into this discovery and revolutionize our approach to contributing to Planet Liberation. Strap in, Helldivers, the fight for freedom just got a whole lot smarter.

To be honest, I would prefer if side objectives added to the liberation impact or at least mattered in some other way than personal gain(xp, req, samples, etc). Speed running missions gets boring in the long run. Same reason why I dont repeat 3-5 min trivials, its not fun.

Maybe in the future the galactic war gets a bit more complex and something like destroying nests/fabricators impact planet regeration, getting enough radars unlocked a new momentary mission that makes more liberation impact, etc. etc. That way the war is more lively and makes more sense.

Mad respect for posting a correction video when you got more info.

Its kinda annoying how doing 3 trivial is the same inpact as a complete helldive full clear operation.

Trivial can be optimized to around 2 minutes. Either shoot a broadcast tower from extraction, or land on the objective and impact yourself until out of lives.

I just think that there should be more impact reward for higher difficulties

To defeat this major order i am blitzing solo missions for 16 hours

I do my best to clear the map every time because I am a Super Earth Super Elite Helldiver!

Liberation% is now calculated based on XP, spamming trivial missions by wasting supply isnt effective anymore.

This is why solo speedrunning trivial missions is how you get the most liberation points because I can speed run those suckers in around 3 to 4 minutes (6 if i have to do a automaton fuel/ammo Depot meanwhile people who are doing difficulty 7 and above are usually taking around 35 minutes for each mission if you're lucky

I think this conversation is awesome because we could have this spread over to AH and possibly change up some impact to... liberation impact lol. I would love that!

No worries bro. Thank you for your content!

Props for the correction but this much was obvious i would think otherwise they would have to worry about balance with the playerbase fluctuations.

The excel calculation is really what I need, I felt so desperate to liberate those hot planet like Hellmire or Menkent.
Would really wonder if playing on difficulty 3 or 5 will be liberating the planet faster than just playing level 1 missions.

So today Spitz, AH Community Manager, said this on discord(quote):

"Alright, I'm going to attempt to clarify this.

Impact on the Galactic War is mostly determined by amount of XP earned - which is multiplied by difficulty at the end of a successful operation. Anything that awards higher amount of XP will result in higher impact on the war, and higher difficulties will award a higher XP and Impact multiplier when all operations in a set are completed. This means that clearing side objectives and outposts or nests will indirectly result in more impact, as these award a higher XP total at the end of the mission. However, risking a deployment to complete these objectives may not be worth it, as a failed main objective or failure to extract heavily reduces the amount of XP and impact earned.

I'm not going to attempt to math it out, but a mid-level difficulty operation with the map cleared and all Helldivers extracted, even with the difficulty multiplier, will likely give more XP and Impact than a high level operation where players speedrun the main objective, only one gets out alive, nothing else is completed, etc."

Everyone in the squad get their own squad impact, you can see this when joining an operation on the last mission, your squad impact will be 1 if you were there from the beginning you would get 3. Therefore all the other helldivers get a squad impact of 3 but you get an impact of 1 so we have our own individual impact. This is just speculation based on experience.

for me it does not even show the squad impact screen most of the times after mission completes

I could be wrong but your math on trival was on 50k helldivers, you didnt use 50k for the sucide test, you used 12.5k helldivers. Is this me being confused or did you not show the math if sucide or trival is better?

Hmm I might be wrong and I am sure other have thought about it before me but maybe there is a better thing to do than doing trivial missions given the fact the difficulty level and the number of missions done impact the end result.
If i am the ship leader, I go on level 9, do the two missions and leave the fastest one for last.
Then I do the last mission with a team, once the objective is done I alt+F4 which allows me to relaunch the exact same mission and the previous team to finish it. I can do it over and over again with other teams. Isn't it going to be more efficient?
