I have been dehydrating apples, bananas, watermelon, cantaloupe, and beef jurky for around 40 years. They taste great when out hunting, fishing, or just sitting at home. The sad part is that every batch dissappear faster than I can make it.

We have a mixture. Recently, a friend gifted me a bunch of dehydrated lemon disks. I have been trying them out figuring out how to rehydrate in tea, and in cooking fish. Lemons 🍋 cost a lot in the store, but friends are often giving me their spares. So if I can do lemon disks in a different friend’s dehydrator I’ll have plenty in the non citrus season

There is a great book : "A SQUARE MEAL" Authored by Ziegelman & Coe about food and the Great Depression !!! Not just a cook book (although there are some recipes) but about Farmers and Government efforts to prevent mass starvation !!!!
