My DIY Paint Job on Honda Element

Just a little video of the results of my DIY paint job on my Honda Element. I painted the top part of the drivers side fender. I first shot 3 coats of color matched paint from auto paint store. Then I shot three or so coats of clear coat on top. All painting was done with spray cans. I think it turned out pretty well ! It looks 100 % better than the old ugly primered black fender it had been for a few years. I still have to let it cure, before I color sand and buff it out to obtain the final shine.

Looks good, Been thinking of picking up a spare fender and trying to color match my 04 EX Sunset orange pearl.

Oh I meant to say.  I used this green frog tape, to tape it off for painting.

What brand of paint did you use? I'm going to try this on a couple of spots on my Element. Thanks.

you had any issues with fender rust???? our honda has it ...and I need to get on it!

No I never had any rust appear. My paint job was on account I had to replace that fender with an aftermarket fender that only had primer on it for several years. I got tired of it looking that way so painted it.
