I don't normally comment, but after seeing the results i am compelled to say that does not look good at all.

I can’t believe you sprayed with that compressor. I use that for my airbrush and it’s an awesome little compressor. Impressed it provided enough air to do this.

You would get better results from multiple light coats with a spray can and some buffing. This looks like it was dunked in paint

That little fan was blowing dust all over that panel as it sucks it up off the flooor next time put everything up on a table and put the fan further away with a filter on it

I’m not a painter but I know several of very good pro painters. I’m sure that you can get reasonable results with a cheap gun and compressor but you need a filter system on your compressor to get rid of water, you also don’t want a lot of air movement to stir up dust and you want to start very light and then a wet coat or two.

No sir. Crucial mistakes that were already avoidable. Hope ppl don’t jump on this click bait

Why would you blow air across the panel ?

I would recommend blowing your work area to produce less dust nibs. Also try spraying at 30 psi on that small compressor.

60L compressor with 120L/min filling capacity. Lvlp gun with filter and reg. 15-30 psi. For a car i paint each quarter part of the car. I followed the gun setting, mixing and technique by Paint Society. Turned out pro and smooth even as a rookie

You know what's cheaper than that? Using a spare tire as a backpack with a paint gun attached to the spare tire valve stem

1.use an air filter for your Hvpl.
2.choose a clean, big aspirated and closed door job place.
3.clean your gun perfectly
4.Mix your paint at right thickness of fluid at each set.
5.use the right angle and technique.
6.give the paint the nessesary time to apply and drain.
7.Do not use fan equipements to affect a fast proces on draining .Just be proportional with ambient temperature and humid ⁰
Good luck

No fan and less air next time. Do a tack coat a very light coat to start and gain from that each coat. Keep going you'll get it!

"Because this is like clear coat, you spray about two inches off the surface." 6 inches with the fan and fluid almost wide open is standard. But then again as OP states in the video, he has no idea what hea doing

Imagine how pathetic your life is to take time to criticize some guy painting in his garage just having fun. We set the bar for everything at perfect and shit on someone for not hitting that mark. I’m very thankful I didn’t have children in this trash world.

Im convinced, i better break the budget on my painting setup 😂

For best results be sure not to do it that way. You can use inexpensive equipment for sure but dont compromise on a clean environment (designated panting area "booth")

Don’t ever blow air where you’re spraying

35 psi. Always hold gun 6 inches away when praying. ! Do not try to cover ( paint ) in one spray. Lightly coat each time, until desired expectancy. Myself, do, 4 coats. # 1 ; lightly cover. # 2 ; getting close to full paint job. # 3 ; 2/3 paint mix with clear coat. # 4 ; 1/2 and half. = Paint and clear coat. Even best job, 2 more coats half and half. U want to make sure paint is tacky when painting each coat. ! ! ! DO NOT LET DRY, in between layers. ! ! ! 6 coats, and it should be like factory, if not better . Some people wet sand . I don't ! The more u paint the better u WILL become. Practice makes PERFECT. ! ! !

I need that gun, I got a small compressor, I've been hesitant about painting with it, but sense a professional said it was cool...

So all the specs in your paint were from your fan that was "evacuating" the dust. I guess it was, just across your panel. You are better off wetting the floor and skipping the fan. Or place it far enough away to pull fumes out, but not near the panel.
