I leaned into the Life Domain a little too hard once. I played a doctor turned Cleric, so he wasn't just holding healing energy over a wound and praying it held, but targeted the wounds issues and worked them to heal. His god was Vejovis, the Roman god of liberators, and I convinced the Dm to grant me a cantrip called Diagnosis. Basically, an entire episode of House in a CANTRIP. I knew what was wrong, what was needed and how to fix it. This boi ended plagues, set up hospitals and started slave rebellions, and being the only cleric of Vejovis, he called his god *Boss*, in like such a casual manner. And how did the god return such familiarity? He officiated that docs wedding!


Yeah, I love cleric too.

I made a cleric of the grave domain, worked with the dm to homebrew a goddess that he worships, but generally tries to actually save people from dying. Every time he heals someone "marquess, it is not this one's time yet, please grant me the strength to save them". He is Markus stone-hammer, and he is a hill-dwarf that wears a pendant shaped like a coffin that has an amethyst gemstone in the center of it

I was going to start off as fighter for my first ever game but somehow I got convinced to be a cleric for it. I absolutely love it and it is now my absolute favorite class.

I played as a gnome cleric to a goddess of dogs. He rode a mastiff into battle and fought for the good of humanity. The goal of the goddess was to bring rise to a world in which dogs and people got along and lived together.
My character would chase squirrels, fetch sticks even if someone threw one during battle, sniff and lick things to find out what they are, and his dog, Buddy, would vomit and eating the vomit would give temporary hit points.

My first character was a cleric. I loved playing him and its funny how you are critical in a party when the tank is getting hit by a pile of monsters all at the same time.

1st dnd campaign i ever played, i was a mountain dwarf war cleric gladiator. My DM never had a war cleric, he was not too aware of the abilities, and when i chose " cleric" he had this aire of excitement. Healing, attacking, spell casting. The cleric is the entire package.

Had a cleric who literally just embraced the idea of chaotic, good natured fun as well as a bit of his love for nature. My dm gave him a pet boar named truffles and there he was off with the party. Nothing could stand in his way.

I have always wanted to play DnD but I have a distinct lack of a group willing to teach me and my dream character if I ever get to use it would be an undead skeleton knight who failed to protect his friends in life and now vows to do everything in his newfound undeath to protect what he cares about
