I'm a general contractor who does his own frame to finish. Quick tip, do those runs twice. If the framing is done tight then those waves can impact our door shims and window extension jambs. We need to clean them up, often times over finished floors. I guarantee that it won't go unnoticed if you make that 2nd run to avoid waves. If you help the next trade then that trade will usually request you again.

Well that's a big waste of sheetrock.Cut a board in half and out one at the top and one at the bottom then fill in the pieces.
