DeWalt DCS551N 18V XR - Drywall Cut Out Tool - Demonstration

A quick demonstration of the DeWalt DCS551N in action cutting out an electrical socket in a double boarded wall. This is generally used by dry liners for trimming around openings for example.

A lot of people commenting about a multitool being better.

When used correctly this tool is much quicker and much less likely to damage boxes or wires.

Also the cut should always go COUNTER CLOCKWISE.

Using a rotozip bit and going counter clockwise youd see the difference.

You can do a plunge cut, guide yourself to the edge. Lift out and then plunge in a hair over. Trace the box. Too easy.

Now I’m really confused. I thought the DC551 only came in 20 V? But you have 18 with yours??? Are you in the USA because I heard in other countries they do that?

I use a multi tool... waaaay better than this :) and it can go through ply if the walls are plied :)

I use a Bosch cordless multi tool, prefer it to this any day, way more useful
