We've had the same problem and replaced the valve after installing a cut off too. Be sure to relieve water pressure in your lines before turning that valve to fill your fresh tank. These valves are known to fail frequently especially if there is pressure in the lines. I finally ordered a whole new panel. The newer panels have brass valves instead of plastic.

Remember, if you have a Swan valve, with the City or Fill positions, they can allow water into the tank because they dont always fully seat. I installed a Sharkbite valve between the Swan and the tank to stop it. The telltale is when water is running out of the hose connection when you unhook.

Been there done that 🤔. We replaced the cartridge on ours as well, but we still had leaks. According to ABCO, they aren't manufacturing the plastic valve bodies any longer. You really need to replace the plastic valve body with the full brass version. We replaced ours last summer and haven't had any further issues 😎.

Plan B
My fresh tank kept filling on city hook up any time the water pressure exceeded 35 lbs. My rig is tested to 90 lbs and recomended not to exceed 50 lbs. I replaced my o-ring Anderson valve with solid brass valve and the problem persisted. I viewed a few videos saying to run hot water through pump. I thought this was silly but did it anyway. It worked! I kept racking my brain as to why. Then it dawned on me. We never dry camp and every year we winterize. My guess is, years of winterization fluid sitting in the pump, gummed up the check valve and the hot water disabled the goo. I pumped hot water for as long as it took to eat a chocolate nutty buddy.

Problem solved.

What specifically does that valve do on your rig? I have an Arctic Fox exhibiting the same issue. I want to make sure I understand what your valves does to see if mine could have the same problem.

I have a 2020 Keystone Outback & am having this exact problem! Could you please advise if the same fix on this video would eliminate my problem?

Sounds like if someone is going to be an R'ver permanently they have to have one person that is the maintenance person.

I am using the same valve and mine is so hard to turn. Is there a way to loosen this up some. Please help, Thank you!

Seems to be an unnecessarily complicated system. I don't have valves and dodads. I use city water or the supply tank and never had a problem. I assume the pump won't pass water backwards or it has a check valve built into it.

Hi Roger! This is Chris, a Public Schools SLP, thinking about adding an ESL online format to my skillset! What company do you all teach with? I am just starting the google dive and it’s overwhelming. I have my masters degree in communication disorders- so feeling confident I can slip into a gig and add to summer/evening/weekends income. Thanks and really enjoy your videos! We have a sprinter van I take in every extended break I can when not with family!

If you have a shower mizer, that's where is coming from. When you divert, to wait for the water to come up to temp, it does NOT go back to the upstream side of the water heater like the salesman says. That's impossible, it's the same pressure, won't flow. I IS going into your fresh water tank, no pressure, and will flow into it. I know because it happened to me. I just dump my fresh water tank at the dump station on the way out.
