End Anxiety and Overwhelm Sleep Meditation

In this guided meditation I guide you with body relaxation and breathing techniques as well as guided imagery to calm and detach from anxiety, and clear your mind from the ongoing sense of overwhelm so that you can sleep well tonight and every night. In this meditation you meet your anxiety as a separate person or entity, and more and more you start to realize that anxiety is that false friend that creates codependence and kids you into feeling that you need them.

This meditation starts by reconnecting you to your breath and body, a useful approach when dealing with panic attacks and anxiety. I then guide you to notice your emotions and any internal commentary on how you feel. I remind you that you are more than your thoughts and emotions.
I guide you through progressive relaxation to release the tension that anxiety may have created in your physical body with a particular focus on releasing stomach knots, where we often carry anxiety, and working out the subtle yet persistent tension in face, shoulders, neck, and upper chest too.
At the same time, I continue to relax your mind so you can start to perceive more clearly that you may feel anxiety at times, but you are not anxiety, and anxiety is not your identity.
Through guided imagery you meet anxiety as a separate person or being and, with the support of my words, and therapeutic techniques, you start to realize that anxiety is a false friend. As anxiety tries to remind you that they are helpful, you see through this more and more and remain calm, no longer responding to the ways in which anxiety tries to confuse you or overwhelm you. You eventually dissolve anxiety and deepen your ability to feel calm, and not just calm in this moment, but hope and a sense of control over the present moment and the future. This session ends by guiding you into a deep and peaceful night's sleep.
