Many youtube video makers severely underestimate how brief youtube watchers want these how-to videos to be.

I was in Lake Havasu AZ last week and wanted to charge my MS at a charge point station. I located a charge point station at the Heat hotel in Lake Havasu. I drove to the Heat hotel and found the Charge Point charger had a lock on it. I did ask the hotel clerk if I could use the charge. He told me there would be a 45 dollar charge to hook up. I have used charge point chargers at other locations and I just used my charge point card to charge the car. I did locate another charge point charger a few miles down the road at the local Nissan Dealer and there was no charge. The Nissan salesman was very nice and he told me that Nissan Dealers had chargers for the public to use. I even had some free coffee. I did report this to Charge Point and was told that the charger should not be locked. I do hope that charge point removes the Heat Hotel from its app. Ray

Something I constantly find absolutely baffling about charging stations is that even at sites that have (some) solar power generation installed capacity, they NEVER take full advantage of the overhead potential to install solar canopies. Even companies such as Tesla that (do) install solar canopies, they never install boundary to boundary solar canopies & I don't know why. If I've (either) purchased the land outright (or) have leased or rented my charging location site, I'd want to make the very most out of that investment. Not only that; on-demand electricity charges for commercial customers are exorbitant, therefore, at the prospect of any opportunities to offset electricity charges to my business, I'd grab with both of my grubby paws, stroking them lovingly - "Precious, my precious." 😊

What kind of adapter do you need to use and where can you buy it?

I know this is an old video. But I am curious how many charging adaptors do you have? Do you have the same amount with the new Model S?

I'm asking because I have an idea of sorts.

Glad you put out this video. I’m in NJ, have only used Superchargers for my MY since October.

Need to sign up for card ahead of time? Are the Chargepoint chargers as quick as the Superchargers?
