I speak about it a lot because I believe the time you eat dinner can have a massive impact on your health.

As the sun starts to set, our body gets the signal to lower cortisol and other excitatory neurotransmitters, and begin to produce more melatonin.

This process ensures that we reach a relaxed state before bed so that we can get the deep, restorative sleep we need to thrive.

However, if you decide to eat a big meal late in the evening, you can disrupt this process and make it much more difficult to get good sleep which then affects all other aspects of your health, mood, and energy.

What about those of us who do shift work and our bodies work much later than others? Ie. Get up at 10:30am. Breakfast by 11:30am. Lunch by 5. Last meal by 10:30. Bed by 3 am.
