Strange Petroglyphs Of Colorado And Utah

A collection of some of the more unusual petroglyphs we have found in Colorado and Utah.

The following is the official list of The Native American responsible for the rock art and a general time line of their creations. Undoubtedly, other native peoples have also contributed over the years.

Canyon Pintado: Fremont Indians 650 A.D. to 1200 A.D.
Dinosaur NM: Fremont Indians 650 A.D. to 1200 A.D.
Irish Canyon: 400 A.D. to 1100 A.D.
Sego Canyon: Barrier Canyon 2000 B.C. and Fremont 600 AD
Nine Mile Canyon: Fremont 950 A.D. to 1250 A.D.
Horshoe Canyon: 400 A.D. to 1100 A.D.
Black Dragon Canyon Canyon: 1 A.D. to 1100 A.D.
Buckhorn Wash: Barrier Canyon 2000 B.C. and Fremont 600 A.D.
Head Of Sinbad: Barrier Canyon 3000 B.C.
Rochester: Barrier Canyon 2000 B.C. and Fremont 600 A.D.
Fremont State Park: Fremont 1100 A.D.

Tons of similarities in all of those glyphs, they all saw the same thing and felt it nessasary to immortalize it in stone, crazy.

One day after high school in 1966 I showed my best friend some petroglyphs near Blythe, California. A week later he was eager to revisit them so I took him out into the desert canyon and while he was viewing them I went rock-climbing. I finally realized I had been hearing him hitting big rocks with a smaller rock and figured he was making his own rock-carvings but when I went to see what he was doing I discovered he was destroying the petroglyphs. I was angry and asked him why he was doing it and he said that when he mentioned the glyphs to his Catholic Priest was told to destroy all pagan creations. I have kept secret all my other discoveries.

They are all around the mountains of Tucson, Az. I have seen them. I cant believe that people can vandalize this ancient artwork. Leave them alone for future generations to see them

I'm from New Mexico and we have lots of petroglyphs, not even a mile from here, and, yes, THESE IN THE VIDEO ARE DIFFERENT. ALSO, THEY ARE MONUMENTAL IN SCOPE: not something you knock out in a few hours while you watch the sheep or something.

I can't help but wonder if the reason why so many natives around the world perform ceremonies and dances wearing freaky costumes and masks, isn't because they are re-telling a story of when the "visitors" came.

The ones in the Burrup peninsular Australia are 40000 years old. Its a charged place to visit.

Many years ago when I was 14 years old visiting Mesa Verde, walking through the visitor center, came around a corner and I couldn't believe my eyes! There in front of me in a glass case is a sandstone rock with a figure of a spaceman. I look over at my dad and ask what's up with that?

Great presentation, I havn't really looked at much before but this video would intrigue most to go study up on petroglyphs for sure. Thankyou for your work getting these out there. Looks like some are the Ant People, the Mantis People, and the Greys. Five foot owls are ETs that can shape shift. And a UFO complete with legs & antenna. Thank you so much for the closeups of ones most of us will never see. Beautiful rock art!
