Bambu Lab's X1 Carbon is by far the best 3D printer I have used. Here's my review after using it for several months!

Disclaimer: Bambu Lab did send me this printer for review, but they had no say in how I reviewed this product and they did not get to see this video before it went live.

I have had an X1C for over a year now and love it so much!! Installed x1 Plus firmware for more network security and that has been nice too so far. JUST bought an A1 mini for smaller stuff, so I guess that’s why I’m seeing this video. But as a veteran X1C owner, with probably thousands of hours on it, I definitely recommend! Have hundreds in spare parts, haven’t needed one yet. I definitely keep up on my Preventative Maintenance though. Have owned Creality, Anycubic, Prusa - built a Voron… The X1C hands down is the best bang for buck time and money. I AM grateful to the other brands I owned though, because I actually understand what is going on and really appreciate the technology to make it super easy. I probably had as much money into trying to get my ender bed leveel, as I paid for the ender itself. *_rant complete_*

Watched this video (after) i purchased my x1 online this morning and i’m stooooked. I love that it’s becoming sophisticated enough for non familiars to be engaged. I’ll feel way more confident leaving ppl that want to learn to trade in the shop when i’m like on store runs and stuff (verses my Ender 3). Thanks and happy printing amigo!

Your intro explanation of your 3Dprinting journey sounds exactly like mine. I've 4 previous printers, none of which were reliable to keep me in the hobby. Then I got the X1-C. It has completely changed my entire 3D Printing hobby.

I just got this and an A1 mini and the X1C is as awesome as I expected but the A1 mini really blew away my expectations. It prints unbelievably fast and accurate for what seems like such an unstable design. Asthetically i love it too. Reminds me of 80s Apple PCs.

This is what FDM manufacturers should have been aspiring to the whole time. Bambu printers are the beginning of what 3d printers have to become.

This printer is the most consistent and reliable printer ever for me at 2000hrs of use.

I bought a BQ B1 a couple of years back, and within a month or two, I stopped using it. The amount of tinkering was too much, and I just couldn't get any print right. I want something that just works. The X1 or P1S look ideal for someone like me, who wants to spend more time designing and printing over spending 5 hours on bed levelling.

Thanks for this review: FWIW I got out of this that this is a great printer to get started with if you just want to be able to print things mostly reliably and not have to fuss with multiple things.

Can’t believe I checked out your video when I got the Ioniq 5, and now I’m watching another one about the X1C, which I’m thinking about buying! How do you know my life so well? 😁

Very cool 3d printer. I wonder how this compares with others. Don’t know much about 3D printers, but I’m pretty sure my curiosity is going to make me buy one in the future. This X1C in particular peaks my interest. Not cheap, but it can make so many things. I use to do a little 3d modeling back in the day, so I’m thinking about all the cool and useful things i could design and make. Would be really cool to see you do a comparison with other models. Keep up the great work.

I just ordered on this morning. Can't wait to get my hands on it. I have a Creality S1 which has been a decent printer and I'll keep and use it, but the X1 is going to take me to a new level.

Thanks for the fantastic review! I am buying one today, you convinced me =). I've followed 3D printing for many years and like you said, it's always come off as too finicky and not practical enough for the real work I want my 3D printer to do for me. With this generation of 3D printers and the smarts in this printer specifically I'm now finally excited enough about them to spend money on it. I've also spent the last few years getting to know Blender, so it will be fun to merge these two technologies together.

I'm curious about the t-shirt you wore in this video, what are those icons? It's a cool look. Thanks for sharing your work with us!

Prusa is no longer king. Bambulabs has dethroned the king and all for the better!

I need some help. I have the funds for the P1S or the X1C. Is the X1C really worth the extra couple hundred ?

Bought one of these last week, finally an upgrade from a flashforge dreamer (~10 years ago)
Wow. This thing is amazing. To be fair all the new printers in this price range are probably amazing, but this thing set itself up, did its calibration jiggle and off it went printing a flawless first print on to the textured plate with no adhesive applied. It just printed dead flat with no shrinkage and no warping, oh and the model had 20mm overhangs with ZERO droop and NO supports, requiring ZERO cleanup. The lowest quality print on this was better than the finest detail on my flashforge. $1, 500 USD well spent. Theres a hack to make the hotend go up to 350°C or so, the same as the X1E.

Seriously thinking of purchasing this machine with the AMS. I purchased a Creality Ender 3 Neo Max about a year ago, but sold it after around 6 months as I was tired of all the fiddling and add ons I needed to do pretty much what this does out of the box. It's pricey, but for the convenience I'm thinking its worth it. Looking at the K1 Max too, but I think the Bambu has the greater longevity for me given the additional AMS that the K1 Max does not support.

Please, where can I found the STL for this engine? Thank you.

Unfortunately I am thinking about sending my Bambu Labs X1 c back. Two days after I got it I tried to print a multiple color .stl but the nozzle got clogged. As I was removing the nozzle I noticed that the connection labeled J3's edges were broken off thus causing the connection to be slightly loose. I also noticed after unplugging J4, it never would lock into place again when I plugged it back in. When I ordered the printer I also ordered a .2 mm nozzle so I thought that I could replace the clogged .4mm nozzle with that but when I opened the package the .2mm nozzle connections were unattached. Seriously is this normal?

I love Bambu's own filaments especially because of the RFID... the ONLY thing I wish they would do, is make a cool white opaque PLA+, their own white is great for hue forge and lithophanes, but you can see colors through it even with several layers (6 layers and you can still see red through it) I buy Inland's PLA+ White which is the most opaque I've ever found, also pretty cheap. They should also make more 2-color and 3 color silks, they're always out of stock.
