I blurred the jars bottom left because YT will flag my video as an ad if I didn’t. If something gets flagged, then it doesn’t get monetized. I’ve had video in the past get flagged as an ad for just wearing a shirt with logo. I posted this video onto TT and IG and did not blur it.

If your rice paper rips, you are dipping it in the water too long. Just make sure the whole paper gets wet once. Dont let it sit in the water. It will still be hard when you take it out but will soften when you roll it on the plate!

I’ve never made a spring roll with rice paper. In the uk, most Chinese takeaways do wonton rappers the big square sheets. I worked in one for 3 years and he taught me how to make wonton and spring rolls. But the pastry was different. And because it was square what we would do was cut one piece into two triangles and place 1 on the square which we would turn on the table to look more like a diamond. U would roll the triangle first and then the corner of the square at the bottom you would roll the ready rolled triangle with the square and tuck the edges in. U would use egg or batter to seal it. I didn’t mine making the spring rolls but the wontons there was just to Many. I’d make 180 in one night but that’s for like 40 minutes. But I liked working there. My boss who is Chinese took really good care of me and when I left after 3 years he gave me a £200 goodbye bonus. Which made me cry.

Anyone who still has trouble, put a drop of oil on a paper towel and wipe the plate with it before you lay down your wet rice paper, it'll prevent it from sticking. Like seriously. A drop. You don't want your wraps to be oily. You just need an ultrathin layer to ensure it doesn't stick.

as a Vietnamese person I normally fold it after adding the ingredients but both work well it’s just that as a child my rolls would always look so ugly until my mum taught me the correct way
