While still in high school, Will Greene discovered the folds of time and the power of presence—truly making time to simply be—in the process of capturing a year’s worth of nature time-lapse photographs in Acadia National Park. Here, he shares this joyful journey through words and visuals.

At Middlebury, Will spends most of his time on academics and varsity diving, getting out into Vermont’s Green Mountains to hike, bike and ski whenever he can.

Wow, he basically just read my mind, point by point exactly!
I also started out hiking in the outdoors when I was young, for all the exact same reasons he did. I became an environmentalist because of the connection to nature I experience while in the outdoors. But instead of Acadia, I spend my years hiking and backpacking in the Pacific Northwest. Also, just like him, I started doing photography and timelapse work in nature (although I'm more "new" at it, haha.) (Also in college.)

Great presentation! Thank you for encouraging others to experience the great outdoors!. Young, outdoor-loving people will be the key in fighting for environmental preservation in the longterm future.

Have got kind of the same "revelation" but trough aerial videography. The immersion is really deep with drones too.
Nowadays, i know that i will spend my life to promote nature.

Really nice talk <3

Great talk!

I have also had some profound realizations after I spent around 15 hours in Arcadia... Bay (Life is Strange video game).

I love this. My first trip to Acadia, I wanted to take pictures and videos all along the way. I knew I wasn't being present. And the pictures were not capturing the true beauty .... the true beauty is in the presence. It's a feeling. On my next trip, I did not use my phone or camera. It made my experience so much better. Plus, I realized how I don't really need a camera because I can find other people's pics and videos to remind me, if need be. ;)

The planet doesn't need ssving, we do. If humans didn't exist ( which we didn't until recently, relatively speaking) Earth would be more than fine. Save the humans and earth will thank you in return.
