Thank you for the tips. I just started my gym journey 2 months ago and my strength is increasing very steadily in every muscle group except my chest. My strength with my flys are increasing steadily but the press movements are substantially weaker lol. 😭

5:23 - 3 to 12 sets is a big range. Sounds like the difference between a deload week, and possibly a four set per exercise high point for some people. Also, is there really that big of a difference between five exercises with 2 to 3 sets per, and three exercises add four sets per exercise? For example, I mix up my chest day with flat and incline dumbbell press and high, low, and middle cable flys.

Off topic question, I hope you can advise as I'm gutted 😞 been diagnosed as type 2, told I can no longer have high protein due to kidney issues. Is that it? As in is it no longer worth training if I'm not allowed a lot of protein I mean what's the point? Admittedly I'm 53 but I'm still pissed off, any advice welcome mate

Does anyone have a suggestion on when to add weight to cable flys? I was thinking after I'm able to consistently get 16 reps for 3 sets?

My problem with not racing partials is by the time I get to the partials at the end my chest, or whichever muscle I'm working is lit on fire from the burn.
