brother and I raised ourselves....Garden Hose water and the Mexican Lady across the street thinking we were too skinny, stuffing home made tortillas and tacos down our filthy faces. Loved every minute of it.

"My mom, she told me to go out and play, 40 years ago, and hasn't checked on me since." LMFAO

1980 here. The 80’s were great, disco, bmx bikes and mullets.
I regularly listen to 80’s music.
Does anyone else like to listen to music from the decade they were born in?

1964 right here! We played outside, drank from the creek, pond or garden hose. We ran amuck in the fields and woods. Half the time neither one of my parents knew where we were, but when the sun went down we better be at the house. Not necessarily IN the house, just AT the house. Those were good times🥰🤣😂

Born in 72. Best times for everything...i lived in the best neighborhood. All of us were like brothers and sisters... and we fought everyday.... but we had each other's backs. Miss those days...

1965 Gen X agree. The 1970's was a great time to be a kid - all us kids got along and had fun. I gotta say, us Gen Xers did pretty good despite being hassled by "the man". We played in the dirt, ate meat and potatoes and worked our butts off and tried to raise our families. Good post, as always.

Born in 1961, I'll take the 70's and 80's in a heart beat.

1969...Loved the 80's. Still love the music. Best thing about the 80's was that there were no surprises. If it walked like a duck and quacked like a duck, it was a f**king duck. Sticks and stones were the rule of law in the neighborhood, no hurt feelings. Miss the 80's.

82 😁 Starting around 6 years old I would go off into the woods, walk to the store to buy my dad cigarettes, walk to my uncles pond and fish for hours, walk to my best friends house...nobody was looking for me. Nobody knew where I was, I barely knew where I was.😅 I knew to come back home around dinner time because I was hungry and all I'd had were some random berries found in said woods and some hose water. This was my life until my friends got cars. My parents had no idea where I was, ever...unless I was in school. They were and are excellent parents....they were just tired...I was the last of 5. My brothers and sister wore them down for me.😂 It was awesome!

I was born in 1981. I grew up the same way you did Adam. Always outside playing respect our elders hard work. My parents raised me and my brothers right. My parents didn’t have a lot of money but they worked hard and struggled every day to care for us boys. We saw that and learned you have to work hard for what you need and want in life. Love your videos and music. God bless you and your family

Born in December of ‘64. Got my drivers license in 1980. Grew up in the country without another house in sight. We lived outside and stayed in the woods for hours. I didn’t know how good we had it back then.

1984 and grew up the same way! I grew up country slinging hay shoveling horse shit and playing smear the " u know"haha . No fear at all and brought my kids up the same way. As far away from the city as possible where the schools here still call about church functions everyone has their pants pulled up. The great outdoors are the weekend activities wether it's riding hiking hunting or fishing. We saw you in black mountain last July ACal. You and Demun Jones played the best show I've seen in a long time. Thank you all for using your platform and voice to show the kids now how great it used to be and hopefully will be again!

1962. Our neighborhood had kids everywhere. We built go karts, sand lot football, tree forts, baseball. Great memories. I'm glad we had them.
