Stop calling these high-likelihood events “tragedies”. Though it may be a sad loss to those close with such people, there’s no tragedy when arrogant risk-takers are taken out by known and high-likelihood hazards, the known consequences for which is death. That isn’t tragedy, that’s statistics. Eg, 1 person dies for every 3 that are able to summit Annapurna. Stats. Don’t call that 1 a tragedy. It’s a “duh”.

What they do is absolutely unnecessary and makes no sense. To me this is equivalent to jumping off the building head down. Sad that their families must suffer, but can't see why their death is more important than our soldiers fighting and giving their lives for our freedom.
They are the famous and incredible people that we should remember!
