There are very few commercial/guest auditoriums/venues that can effectively make use of anything above 256kbps; ror this type of environment it is going to be perfectly fine. To be honest the trend for modern EDM mastering has a tendency to smash the hell our of mixes even if meticulosuly done. The kind of noise potentials offered by uncompressed, higher bit resolution (24/32) is redundant for a large percentage of contemporary PA configurations. If you have compressed 256kps made from high fidelity original source material, don't sweat it.
If you are producing material, 24bit 48KHz PCM/WAV is absolutely sufficient for pop/rock/edm. If you are producing and recording large orchestral suites, then higher sample rates and bit resolutions are a good thing for facilitating the potential of capturing a greater dynamic range.
In a side context, there are approximately 100, 000+ records/works added to streaming platforms every day, paying extra for FLAC or uncompressed streaming? I'd rather (and do) buy physical media if I rate it that much.
