🎶Way down in Louisiana close to New Orleans
Way back up in the woods among the evergreens
There stood a log cabin made of earth and wood
Where lived a country boy named Johnny B. Goode
He never ever learned to read or write so well
But he could play the guitar just like he's ringing a bell🎶
🎶Go, go
Go, Johnny, go, go
Go, Johnny, go go go
Go, Johnny, go, go
Go, Johnny, go go go
Johnny B. Goode🎶

🎶Go, go!
Go, Johnny, go, go
Go, Johnny, go go go
Go, Johnny, go, go
Go, Johnny, go go go
Johnny B. Goode🎶

The single best rendition of this song!! Power chords, rapid picking, sustaining high note? Hell yes!! 👍

I love that ref at the end. They are stunned never hearing music like that but Marty is breaking the time travel rules left right and centre. He tell Goldie he will be major, nearly wipes himself out and should be more careful giving away future info in the 50's

"It's your cousin, Marvin Berry! You know that sound you've been looking for? Listen to this!" The Simpsons and Family Guy both hilariously parodied this scene.

"Johnny B. Goode" is considered one of the most recognizable songs in the history of popular music. Credited as "the first rock & roll hit about rock & roll stardom", it has been recorded by many other artists and has received several honors and accolades.

2:38 I love that you can see George smiling in the background here while everyone else scoffs. He doesn't care that the music is insane, Marty is his buddy.

Somewhere behind the stage is the Marty from Part 2, carrying the sports almanac and later knocking out Biff's 3 stooges!

The singer who provided Marty McFly's vocals was Mark Campbell. He was lead singer for the L.A. based rock 'n roll/rhythm 'n blues revue band called Jack Mack and the Heart Attack. They can be seen in the 1985 film Tuff Turf with James Spader and Robert Downey, Jr.

A lot of people would have already been introduced to rock & roll by this point. This is set in November 1955. "Rock Around the Clock" by Bill Haley & His Comets had already reached #1 on the charts a few months earlier (July 1955). (And rock & roll had been invented even before that, but that song was the first to reach such mainstream commercial success).

"I guess you're not ready for that; but your kids are sure gonna love it"
I love looking out for mistakes in movie scripts, and ALMOST EVERY hollywood movie makes some big mistake in the script, it's unreal.
And this movie too, right there.

He has gone back to 1955, and chuck berry released this amazing hit just 3 years later in 1958. So it would have been that same generation that loved it, not their kids 25 years later.

Great movie, of course. But like i said, they always slip up somewhere in the script, if you are really attentive, you'll pick them out 😊
