Rookie error Calv, I've owned a few of these XJs and could tell in the draggy times you didn't press the Sport button on the gear selector which makes quite a difference. Revs it out to 7k in Sport mode. Normal mode it bogs down, need to try again and do the old girl justice ;) great to see you liked the car tho and awesome video as always

Good video! I've had a lot of experience of X308s, very relaxing to drive. One correction is that Jag was actually bought by Ford in 1990, so the first properly Ford influenced XJ is the X300. I've currently got a X350 XJ with the 3.5 V8 with 224k miles seemingly on its original engine. It's not amazingly quick, but a very likeable car. My friend and I did a big European roadtrip in it pre covid, we went as far as Romania, 3300 miles in a couple of weeks, no issues.

More of a different platform than a facelift really .. went from the 6 cylinder engines to the V8's with the X308. Great things. Owned a lot of them over the years and would like to get another one on my channel! Nice to see something like this on here Calvin :-D

What a beautiful car!!!!, absolutely love Jags, my old man had them in the 80's, 90's until the x308. I currently own a 2006 4.2 v8 sovereign model ( x356 ) which I bought in 2019 for £4k, with 128k miles on the clock, currently on just over 133k miles.

That car did well considering it's raining and it's rear-wheel-drive and it's 20 years old it still looks good inside and out today and it's true jag have definitely lost jaguar touch with the new ones.
