I would be careful calling it a mechanical pencil. More of a "lead holder", it has a clutch mechanism that drops the lead out and the button on top has to be held down until you get the lead positioned the length you want it.
Still, it is a cool tool!! I highly recommend the Ohto 2.0 sharpener to go with it. The 2.0 mm lead sharpens nicely for smaller detailed coloring or finer sketching. I prefer fine point pens so I don't use it for writing school notes, but I love it for color coding diagrams or underlining instead of highlighting.
And for holding EIGHT colors, the size is really comfortable for my small hands.

I love this pencil, using it for adult colouring. Super handy for compact travelling. June Gold 2mm colour pencil 36 set leads fit well in it, just remember not to leave it inside when twisting to switch colours when its still too long.

I wish they made these for every mm lead and also ones with different sizes in one if possible. And click versions (this is a clutch, I had to learn how to use and get used to use it the hard way haha). I love these, I want every possible variation imaginable and I wish brands like Prismacolor premier would brach into making woodless leads for mechanical pencils (they're very soft leads, but it could work I bet).

Is the Pentel multi 8 slightly light fast? I've used colored mechanical pencils before and they faded so much faster than even more economical traditional colored pencils. I really like the convenience and versatility of this product but if it's going to disappear with mild light exposure than I might have to pass.

I've been interested in these for a couple years. I wish there was a simple way to use off-brand 2mm leads but the mechanism requires a crimped metal band on the end.
