Don't hold your breath since Microsoft as been fixing WINDOWS for the last 45 years and it still can't fix it.

They should have just pulled that crappy update until it was actually ready to apply.

This is just crazy. But to be honest, I have suffered with borked updates more than once with windows 10 and recall similar problems with updates all the way back to at least XP from Microsoft. I've known for years that I just need to bite the bullet and start the Linux learning curve and ditch Microsoft for good, and this just proves that I should have done so long ago.

I've already installed it on all of my Windows 10 machines. It's not like it was hard. The instructions on how to extend the recovery partition were easy to find and follow.

The Fact that it's almost a Month and Half since that update was released, Shows U how Complicated a Fix it probably is. Let's Hope the Fix works.

I had a bios update, so I did that and in my update logs, it has the failed updates saying it failed about seven times now, so I hope that Microsoft comes out with a fix soon because I can just pause my updates until then

i just used Aomei partition assistant to resize that partition (recovery partition), very easy.

hi, I am stuck with an issue and unable to find a fix for it. My Windows 10 OS failed so I tried installing using USB flash but am stuck on Partition prompt. unable to delete or format any partition. tried running "disk list" command and it only displays the USB connected to it and nothing else. I also checked to install RAID drivers for storage but could find any drivers that worked. can someone please help me with this ?

What scares me is that looking the forums, there doesn’t seem to be universal fix (some like me don’t even have a WinRE part), for people that didn’t hide it and insist in installing it, some recommend to download different 3rd party tools and doing experiments resizing “hey guys this worked for me” other “No, I tried it still I can’t install it”
TL;DR So idk how they are going to fix something that seems to seem to be so different for everyone and I FEAR THEY END UP CAUSING MORE DAMAGE messing with something as risky as partitions

Gee, here I heard they're looking at Windows 12... EDIT: 7 was the best in my opinion. I actually tried Windows 11 because of this mess. Well, after one day, here I am back on 10 trying to find a solution to the problem (never to go back). Linux is looking better all the time.

Disconnect between Microsoft has always been a problem. They live in another world than most users do. They have no clue how to talk to regular folks. They could use with some training on to comminicate at different levels. Sheesh!
