2024 How to fix Kb5034441 or 0x80070643 windows update error

On this video, we will perform the troubleshooting steps starting from the BASIC to the ADVANCED workaround for the ongoing error KB5034441 or Windows Update Error 0x80070643 in Windows 10 & 11.

Option 1 - Retry Windows Update 3x (three times)
Option 2 - Restart your Computer / Laptop.
Option 3 - Turn OFF receive updates from other Microsoft Products

I recommend trying first the basic steps before you proceed to option 6 and 7.
Found some forum that other options really work but depending on your pc build, structure and software.

If you want to ask which option worked for me? that will be Option 7.

I hardly ever post comments but I had to in this case. I tried numerous other options on numerous other videos to correct this issue and nothing worked. Luckily I gave it one more shot and found this video, if this didn't work I was going to reformat my PC. The first 5 suggestions I had already done, #6 was the key. Take your time and follow the directions EXACTLY making sure to spell every thing correctly. I've saved this video for the future to pass on to others if need be. You saved me a very frustrating day of reinstalling EVERY THING on my PC!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Thanks very much step 7 worked for me pretty straight forward I didnt want to do step 6 since it involved messing around with storage partitions..

In my case, for "List disk" I have both asterisks for Disk 0 and Disk 1... What to do? (for me, disk 0 is HDD for storage; and Disk 1 is nVME SSD where OS is installed)

Both option 6 and 7 didnt work for me and i dont know why i followed all the steps should i repeat it until it works or what should i do?

Excellent tutorial! The final steps worked! But only after I resized (increased) the recovery partition. After that, it went thru like a breeze! Thank you.

on option 6 (4:24) I can not execute the shrinking command. It says: "The volume you have selected to shrink may be corrupted. Use Chkdsk to fix the corruption problem, and then try to shrink the volume again."

Please I am looking for any tips I ran Chkdsk and nothing happened

option 6 worked for me thank you so much, ive been fighting this since January, just as an fyi to others who watch this and try option 6, your partition number might not match the one used in the video so be aware of this, example the recovery partition in the video was partition 5 and mine was partition 4, so you may need to adjust accordingly
