Thanks ! Been doing it wrong for two years. Never saw that hole, been using the two notches on the top lip and thinking every time this is the most ridiculous idea to “lock” the end. Lol !!

Must be old model, new ones you restring without opening spool. Very simple.

My issue why does the line come quickly loose after using the machine to cut and trim grass? It gets tangled and I have to consistently stop and untangle and sometimes rewind the loose line.

So you pull the trigger initially to get it started then let go and hold the rest of the other trigger down to keep it running . Hard to explain because it like a trigger on top of a trigger. You have to pull the top trigger to decompress the lower tragger

So do you not put the line into the 2 little grooves on the spool? In the instructions it shows they feed it into one of the little grooves that it has but here i see its just hanging there
