The past week saw a dramatic scale up in tensions in the Taiwan Strait- after US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi went ahead with the visit of the congressional delegation to Taipei- to meet the leadership and many civil society representatives in the island.

The visit went ahead despite several warnings from China that this would destabilize the region

It's not new for China claiming Taiwan is part of their country and for decades, since after 25 years a US top leader visiting Taiwan and what made Ms Nancy to visit China under the circumstances of very high inflation and collapse of economy in US and other parts of the world except Russia and China.
US have not retrieved from Covid 19 issues so far and their interest rate is very high among all countries of the world. Their Currency has fallen by about 25% against Russia's Ruble in just 3 months in spite of Russia and Ukraine conflict and US applied sanctions against Russia however its allies in European Union continue to buy Russian crude oil and gas even after imposing sanctions against Russia.. This shows that US is weak with respect to their economic policies and its defence.
China is not a weak country with their economy and military power and also incurred very less damage due to Covid 19 when compared to US.
Taiwan+US and China stand off should not be converted into a war, which is not good for any country including India and will be a disastrous for US.
You should remember that war between Iraq and US+ allies was so different from this stand off because two super powers should not collide with each other. In Gulf war only Kuwait was bombarded instead of Iraq, hence US and it's allies were given contract for rebuilding of Kuwait by earnings huge amount of money, because of that once considered to be richest nation in the world becomes poorest nation in Middle East . US always need a war to stabilise their economy, now the need has come to them.
USD, the global reserve currency fallen apart as such Russia insisting Ruble payment for their exports and Saudi Arabia accepting Yuan payment for their oil supply to China and indeed India offering Dirham payment to Russia for importing oil, steel, coal etc.,
Let's see how this stand off could be between 2 super powers and but I think that it would not be.
Regarding semi conductors used an automobile part, we mostly importing from South East Asian countries not only from Taiwan.

Taiwan is a part of greater China. India is better off remaining neutral in this unnecessary provocation.

Reading these comments is pretty shocking to me, as a US citizen. Are these Chinese paid comments or reflective of some actual pro-china sentiment in India? Hard to say. For what it's worth do I think Pelosi's trip to Taiwan was wise? No. But she isn't the first US congress person to visit the island AND she doesn't have a whole lot of control over our foreign policy. It was almost certainly a symbolic visit. So for China to react this aggressively, like a spoiled child throwing a temper tantrum, I think is completely disproportionate. For all those "what-if" commenters (e.g. what if it was Karachi, how would India feel?) I think is not really relevant or logically consistent. To my limited knowledge, Karachi does not have a self appointed COMPLETELY SEPARATE government, economy, passports/visas, and military right? So how is that similar to Taiwan precisely??

If India and China are truly consistent with all this vague, hollow "conflicts should be resolved peacefully and diplomatically" rhetoric regarding the Russia-Ukraine war but now, when an 82 YEAR OLD WOMAN travels to Taiwan for a photo-op that somehow justifies hostile dangerous Chinese war posturing? Can't have it both ways. If you just want to be a "might makes right" authoritarian country just say it. Stop hiding behind all this soft "neutral" BS India. sheesh...

I think China has no more skepticism after this in regard of full out military development. It's not hard to predict aircraft carrier 004, 005, 006 is already on the way. And China will have further cooperation with Russia to modernize it's weakest link in it's navy --- submarines.
