Yes, I had high blood pressure was on three different medication‘s, and it wouldn’t move. The doctor put his hands in the air and said why why why I don’t understand at that point I started digging around on the Internet, which led me to the keto diet and it went down some, and then I started fasting and it really went down, and that led me to carnivore which I now eat once a day and that is it now on no more blood pressure meds when I went back to the doctor he pulled up his stool. We sat down and talked for about a half an hour in his office and his mouth was wide open. He’s obviously never heard of this or has never studied this I had a couple of Doctor Ken Barry’s videos Set up so I can show him on my phone and we watch them and he was blown away he said at the end now I can help my other patients that have the same problem so you think eating steak and eggs or ground beef and eggs is expensive. Try buying that medication from the doctor plus doctor visits Constantly. It’s a whole lot cheaper. I feel a whole lot better thank you Dr. Berry

I didn't have high enough BP to go on Rx meds but at 100lbs I had cankles. My ankles as wide as my calves!! I asked my PCP about it. WALK. not a complete solution! Another PCP WATER. I KNOW! Iwas doing both! I was also installing flooring, and that work is bend bend bend
My ankles were thick with water and veins. 2 months carnivore all the veins and water is gone looking like the ankles I had 60 yrs ago..My heart is literally happy thanks to Dr Berry popping up on my screen. This former VEGETARIAN says bye bye

Mine went from 240/120 to 120/70. Or at times 140/80. Was on meds for a while but hated the side effects. Being on keto/ carnivore has improved so many of my health problems.

I just turned 54 two weeks ago, I take 7 blood pressure pills a day, 4 different kinds. Without meds I'm usually 250/140. On meds its 160/100. Constantly suffering from the side effects of medication. 2 years ago i was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic, often taking 4 to 5 insulin shots a day to my gut. I started carnivore and in 2 months there was no sign of diabetes anymore. I fell off the lifestyle change after 6 months, originally i lost 92 pounds, put 60 back on. I went down to 2 bp pills a day now back at 7. I went back to carnivore last week because Im sick of feeling like this. Please keep me in your prayers that i can maintain it for life. I already feel so much better, not getting up 3 times a night to pee, bp although still crazy high, has come down drastically. I got a deer this year, loaded up on ribeyes, strips, liver, butter and tallow. Stocked full of meat and fat and making a change. Looking forward to less or no doctor visits, savings almost 1k/mo on RX.

The only time I have uncontrolled high pressures is when I'm at the doctor's office.

Low carb has taken me from three meds to one in a years time. Hopefully next year I’ll be at no BP meds. Thank you for your constant positive influence Dr Berry!

Doc! This is so true!! My husband's glucose and A1C was high. So he tried to cut down carbs on his diet. After about two months on low carb diet, he got thinner, look younger and his pcp told him not to take Norvasc anymore! Many people blame either meat or salt for high BP or swelling. The carb is the problem for sure!!

From the age of 30, when I was diagnosed with extremely high blood pressure, numbers were off the chart, stroke, and heart attack risk high. With 3 different kinds of blood pressure meds to reduce the numbers down, but never ever would it be a normal reading. I'm 57 now. 3 years ago, at the age of 54, I decided that I had to take control of my diet or I would wind up dead somewhere. All long I found out what was causing my out of control high blood pressure. It was because of my sugar and carb addiction to food and drinks. I was told by many, many doctors that it was from salty food and added salt. Never was I told anything about sugar and carbs creating the problem for high blood pressure. I feel that I was lied to and/or always misinformed for some reason that I totally understand why now. It feels extremely good to be off all my meds now. Knowingly told by doctors that I would be on meds for the rest of my life. 3 years now off them meds and very strict healthy keto way of eating with 20 hours of intermittent fasting at one meal a day every day.

Carnivore for 3 years and my blood pressure is still crazy high even with 3 blood pressure meds and regular exercise. For me, living a super stressful lifestyle drives my blood pressure through the roof. Stress management is key for me.

Hello Dr. I am living proof. Went Keto in 2017. I am 5'4", was at 275#, now I am at 205#. Off of the diabetic meds, on lower doses of bp meds. I am documenting my progress of 2025 of trying to be even healthier. Limiting plastic exposure. Cooking and prepping more for the entire fam, including the dog! Home made Ketchup, Mayo, salad dressing... all stored in glass! Thank you for all of the help.

Got to work on lower my high blood pressure by greatly lowering my carbs!!! Such a good point, Dr. Berry and for making it so clear! 😃😃

Yes, the real culprit is almost every time hyperinsulinemia. Sadly, most of the doctor advise a low salt diet to people with high blood pressure, thus forgetting that sodium is an absolute requirement for our cells and that consequently our body will do everything it can to retain the little sodium that remains. Producing more insulin to prevent the kidneys from excreting sodium is what our body can do. Our body is not stupid hyperinsulinemia will kill us, but later, while hyponatremia (low sodium) can kill us immediately (that's what happens to marathon runners drinking too much water with too little electrolytes). What's stupid is that low salt diet advice will simply worsen insulin resistance, the main cause high blood pressure. We need more doctors like Ken Berry, Ben Bikman, Shawn Baker, Paul Mason and less stupid advice like "low fat", "low salt" and "low red meat".

And of course, don’t forget that it has nothing to do with the salt intake! I know you mentioned it in the beginning but remember when you end up in the hospital with a 280/160 blood pressure, the first thing they do is hang a bag of saline! That certainly means that salt is NOT the issue!

I’ve been on carnivore diet for a year. The last eight years I’ve had obscenely high blood pressure 220/120 kind of stuff. Recently was diagnosed with hyperaldosterone and something called Cushing syndrome, which is hyper cortisol.
It’s not just diet. It’s stress.

Yep. I had to get my blood sugar under control and my blood pressure improved. Less peeing at night too.

It’s true what he says. I did the keto diet and tripled my salt intake. My blood pressure went to grade A.

I've had edema for 20 years. At 60, it now hurts, and no matter what I do, it doesn't go down. My BP has been high all my life even as a teen when I was a size one and had no edema. It's now real high. I hardly eat any carbs, I don't like bread, pasta, processed food. I eat mostly meat and some dairy. Docs have put me on diuretics, and they didn't work. Even tubes that were draining fluid from my heart after surgery for 5 days wouldn't stop flowing a high rate of fluid. The doctors seemed puzzled about where and why I have excessive fluid.
It's embarrassing, I hate it, I'm sick of it, and it's getting worse as I age. It gets a little better when I starve myself for a few days, or as most people like to call it.. fasting.

Losing weight in the past didn't affect my blood pressure, still had to take meds. Low carb dropped it to 120/75.

My doctor told me my high bp was due to too much sodium…most people think that salt is the corporate because we we were told that by professionals… thank you for sharing this vital information
