Remember to ALWAYS test patch products even if you have tried them before or not. You can test the product by putting a little on your wrist, behind your ear and leaving is for no less than 12 hours.

Also remember that unfortunately not everyone will have the same results. If a particular product does not work for you, don't worry there are always plenty more to discover. :)

Isn't it just rude how people come on here expecting her to do her videos the way they want.

Losing 145 pounds lightened my neck. I went from 300 poundss to 155 pounds. Because I'm only 5'4, I was morbidly obese, which my Dermatologist said caused the darkness on my neck, and on both sides of my cheek.

I went to a dermatologist and asked about mine. They also said if you are overweight sometimes the skincare will work temporarily but if your insulin levels are out of whack the dark neck will come back also known as Acanthosis nigricans. Also applies if you are pre-diabetic or suffer from PCOS. So pay attention to your health as well as skincare to everyone watching🙂

I suffered with a dark neck. But I had read an article that suggested being overweight played a part in my neck being so dark. I like whatever lol. But I’ve lost 259 lbs and omg my neck totally cleared up. I’m so freaking excited about it. I’m not saying your weight is the case for everyone but it may be something to consider 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Thanks so much for sharing! My neck is one of my biggest insecurities because of the discoloration, sometimes I feel like I’m wearing a mask because my neck is about three shades darker. The biggest thing I noticed in your regime is that you didn’t mention using an extremely abrasive exfoliation (i.e: gloves, loofahs, etc) and you didn’t mention baking soda, lemon, etc which is extremely acidic and painful. I tried it, didn’t work and BURNED. I’m going to look into all of these and really hope I see progress (paired with weight loss)

I usually am one of those annoying people who want people to get to whatever info I need right away in the video, ngl. BUT that being said, you are so thorough and so open and honest in how you approach your videos and I find you very soothing, sweet and helpful. I'm happy to listen to you.

You’re supposed to start retin-A gradually. Only use it once a week until you build up tolerance and moisturize heavily.

i have been watching you since idek when; before the whole pandemic even started, and i just wanna say you’ve came a long way from your skin journey throughout this channel. I haven’t been keeping up with every video (as I do have a busy life) but I definitely see the amazing progress; your skin is nearly flawless.

This was a great video. I've been on Retin-A and Hydroquinone for 20 years now. I have/had malasma on my right cheek and neck. My dermatologist put me on a Retin-A and Hydroquinone regiment and within days it went away. I remember crying I was so happy. I'd suffered with melasma from middle school to early adulthood, and I finally found something that worked. Once the darkness went away, she suggested that I mix a pea a size amount of moisturizer to the Retin-A to reduce the sensitivity and peeling. I don't have an issue with darkness anymore but I still use Retin-A on my face for skin clarity and fine lines. I use the Hydroquinone for spot treatment in the rare event I have a dark mark from acne (I almost never break out). Your skin will become hypersensitive over time but that's normal. I still get chemical peels and microdermabrasion and I'm fine. Best of luck to you on your skin journey.

I can’t thank you enough for all the knowledge you impart! Not everyone does this. I’ve been ordering The Ordinary for years, but I hadn’t heard how good the cleanser is. I can’t get over how amazing you look!

You are blessed with your channel. If someone does not like how you operate on your channel then they don't have to watch your videos. I absolutely love your accent and I'm glad that you take the time to explain things some people may not know.

so darkness on the neck is not always hyperpigmentation. It’s actually hyperkeratosis.
Hyperpigmentation is an overproduction of melanocytes.
Hyperkeratosis is a thickening of skin which makes skin appear dark. Think of it as a stack of pancakes. So tretinoin breaks skin cells up & helps them shed, so it causes the shedding of all the extra stacks of skin that’s causing the darkness.

Considering you’re saying that it only took you a few uses of tretinoin on the neck, it sounds like you have hyperkeratosis & should seek treatments according to that & not hyperpigmentation.

YT been spying on me lol. Just earlier today I was putting on makeup on my neck and was so frustrated. And while taking pictures i literally said to myself my dark neck showing in the pictures loll guess they heard me.
I'm so glad YT "spyed" and suggested your video. Love your channel i subbed immediately. Much love from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹
