Use the ordinary glycolic acid to exfoliate a couple times a week. Since I started doing that, I have zero BO under my arms and it’s clearing up. Like no smell at all and it’s hot and humid in Florida still. I do moisturize with coconut oil on the days I don’t use the glycolic since it can dry your skin overtime. I have sensitive skin and haven’t experienced any discomfort either. Give it a try

I agree that natural deoderant can cause contact dermatitis, I believe it's because the baking soda can cause irritation as well as any essential oils in the products. If you are someone who is sensitive to the aluminum in regular deoderant/antiperspirant the aluminum is used to suppress your sweat glands and that can irritate some people. You have to either get allergy tested and find out what things you're allergic to or play trial and error. Do what's best for your skin since everyone is different. But I do agree to be cautious of the natural deoderant just as much as the standard stuff. If you can't use either I'd see about getting checked and seeing if there is a deeper cause and treating that before attempting deoderant again. Best luck to everyone!

I struggled with dark underarms for years, but DermalMD Intimate Lightening Serum changed everything. It's a reliable product that effectively lightens and rejuvenates the underarm area

Wait it’s not good to use scrubs on your armpits?

What about if you’re allergic to aluminum in antiperspirant? 😞 I’ve tried Vanicream’s as well and it breaks me out in a rash as well so I’ve concluded it is the aluminum I can’t tolerate. It does work well to prevent the sweat and associated odor unlike deodorant but just can’t tolerate. I would love to know of an antiperspirant that prevents sweat but doesn’t contain the aluminum.

If people put down the “natural” deodorant, maybe they wouldn’t seek answers to their hyperpigmentation problems.
