Thank you sir I just dropped my calc course and I'm takin a step back because I did not take precal, trig, or Algebra 2. Calc was overwhelming but interesting and if I want to be serious about mechanical engineering or getting better at math in general I definitely need to brush up on the previous types of math that are usually studied before Calculus.

took calculus in 11th grade, so i never took precalculus. took statistics in 12th and am currently taking calculus ii in freshman year of college. i had no idea what precalculus was about but i always assumed it was a bunch of logarithms and trigonometry. i didn't know they did matrices and vectors as well. awesome video

I want to be a professional pilot and always struggled with math throughout school. I recently decided to change my major from BA History to BS Applied Physics because I want to work for an aerospace company. I'm intimidated by the sheer amount of college math classes I'm required to take to get through the physics degree but at the same time I'm excited for the challenge. Thank you for making these videos even though I haven't started pre-calculus yet they are extremely helpful in visualizing what I'm gonna need to do!

taking precalc as a freshman and so now its my entire online math personality, self taught algebra 1 over the summer and taking algebra 2 honors with precalc - have geo next year and taking ap calc ab at the same time

I remember not being placed in accelerated math in middle school due to not getting a 95+ on one test (I got a 93 haha), and I didn’t double up in math sophomore year because I was nervous how I’d do with Geometry and Algebra 2 at the same time in 10th grade with Covid. Although my Geometry skills are a bit shaky due to zoom school (not a huge fan of proofs, but I enjoyed our Trig and Volume of Shapes Units), I love doing Algebra and Trig problems! I’ve taken regular math courses for most of high school, and have done really well in them to the point of my high schools honors precalculus teacher recognizing that I’m a strong math student. She told me last year that I should take her class senior year, and I was very happy to be put in an Honors math class before college. Honors Precalc and AP Physics 1 are my favorite 12th grade classes this year, and I’m looking forward to taking Calculus as an Engineering major this fall!

I agree that you said, you like explaining math nit teach, this year I got unlucky in my class, the teacher doesn't explain anything, just does the step without explaining and throws formulas and say do the HW, I literally still have to come to YouTube to understand.

tYes, I took 'pre-cal with trig' this semester because it was required to be enrolled in for one of my programming classes; or I would have studied/tried to test out. Our next math is cal I & II together in one class!
