How the Precalculus Series will be filmed and what it will entail.

Hello, this message is to anyone who is about to take/ is taking/ or wants to freshen up their precalc and trigonometry skills.... I just finished the entire series in about 4.5 months at my own comfortable pace. I would just like to say that this is an amazing precalculus and trig course. Professor Leonard explains new ideas in depth as to get you to understand the concepts, because if you understand the question "Why?", then this information can really stick with you longer. This course was great. Set a goal to watch every episode, it is really worth it in the end. I cannot wait to push these new skills learned in this course onward to Calculus! Good luck everyone!

Let me tell you all about myself. I am 62 years old and a mechanical engineer. In 2019 just before I retired, I visited the science museum at Boston in USA. I saw the robot displayed and was hooked onto them. I then returned home to Melbourne in Australia.

The last day of my work was also my first day at Diploma in Software Development. Then due to COVID, I learned a few software languages online, and in March of 2022, I enrolled in Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics. Successfully completed the course in November 2023.

Now I have enrolled in a double Degree doing Robotics and Cyber Security (computer science).

Man, your videos are excellent and very detailed, and you have the patience to teach a stone piller!

Of course, this time around there are fewer distractions. Half a lifetime ago it was social interactions, girls, and studies in that order. Now there are no distractions only studies.

When I attend classes with students in their early 20, they look stressed and they look at me and ask me how I am coping with their studies. I tell them I am fine.

College Algebra is by far the most compact course I have ever taken. There is so much that goes into the course and endless real world applications that can be applied directly to it. I have already passed this course in college with an A+ and pretty much mastered the course material directly. But I have always struggled with understanding word problems and applications. So I just come back here from time to time to review so that I may understand Algebra applications a little bit better.

To share some of the benefits I experienced from your contributions, I did your 'Calculus I' course way back in 2017, which helped me prepare for a research project in Advanced Macroeconomics (Level IV). It was a pre-requisite for me to receive a minimum of Credit in the course to clear coursework and go to the research component of my Ph.D. program. And I was able to achieve it mainly because of your course.

Now, after finishing my PhD in Economics and securing a job, I am starting over from Pre-Calculus to get a clear grasp of concepts.

Wow. This intro is music to my ears. My engineering degree is getting deep into calculus and I have a bad foundation of algebra, and about 2 months to fix that before I get found out! Thank you for this, and thank you for being so understanding to those of us who are being tested on calculus even though our algebra is shaky!

I'm so happy I found this. I basically cheated my way through precalc in high school. I barely passed Calc 1 and 2 in college, but now I found out that for my Biochem degree I need to take an equivalent of Calc 3. I feel pretty screwed lol. Calc has been the most stressful part of my college career because I don't have these fundamentals and it feels just too late to go back and learn them all, but I have to!

I never expected that such a short video will help me understand precalculus better without going deep into the other videos in the playlist.
I've been studying precalculus, and I literally understood everything but I didn't understand the purpose of topics in this course, topics I was already familiar with.
Your video helped me to understand the purpose of this course and that precalculus is the combination of Algebra and Trignometry and that precalculus is just like (Prerequisite to Calculus).
