Mastering Difficult Conversations: The 'Yes, And No, But' Technique

Yesterday, I heard a woman leader share why she is always trotted into the room when a difficult conversation needs to be had.

She has a framework--and it works.

She calls it "YES. AND. NO. BUT"

Example:
I'm training a client to ready for her TED Talk on stage
She might be inclined to promote her business during the talk.

A potential response using the framework:
*Yes* you should lean on your zone of genius
*And* we still need to be observant of TED rules
*No* promotion of your business is allowed in your talk
*But* the unique way in which you solve problems in the world are a great teaching moment.

Most people mess these up.
They make it all about 'Me! Me! Me!'
If you're struggling to say 'no' gracefully at work, I created a free download here with scripts 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

I'll add to it each week.
Download them, and learn how to say 'no'
And do it---nicely.
