I usually cook asparagus pretty well, but much more simply. I cook it in a skillet in a small amount of water, then drain the water and butter it. It is usually delicious. Do you remember how they used to say you should cook it? Upright in a narrow pot so it stands up, and the tips are at the top? What a hassle! This is so easy and so delicious.
